Captain Loophole?

Im happy with Gibbs 147 and selected him as VC. I have not selected a C yet. So do i just leave it like that?

Put someone on the ground who is not playing and put them as captain (e.g. a suns player) and make sure you have an emergency to cover that player. The system will say that your captain did not play and therefore give you your vice captain, captain status. Is that clear?

i dont think you even need to select a captain it should just read your VC score!

Yeah mate don't select a c as I think if u do it might make ur emergency captain and I dnt wanna risk that :) so leave as is with just a vice

For DT, I'll be pretty darn happy with that output if it's a certainty!!!

But depends if you think another player can outscore it. It's a risk that could either pay off or not. Sticking with that score is safe :). Gotta ask yourself, is it really worth the risk?

I have only had Gibbs with the VC and no Captain at all since last week but there is some slightly ambiguous wording on the DT website about captains so I have changed it to Harris from GC as Captain with Bewick his emergency as that way I am 100% sure that Gibbs 147 will get doubled.

The other way of not having a captain worked last year and I am sure it will this year but to make absolute sure I have done it as above. The only risk is if there is a late withdrawal but imo that is a smaller risk than VS closing the loophole.

My 2 cents anyway...

i had Gibbs as VC with no Captain - my progressive score is currently registering 147 x2 for Gibbs without - i'm willing to leave my "C" spot empty and gamble that i will get Gibbs x2 as my captain (as VC).

in SC i'm naming Swan "C" even though Gibbs got 138 as i'm willing to gamble that Swan will get more than 138 vs Port for SC. ;)
