Here is my second attempt at my SC side. Any suggestions would be appreciated:

B: C Cornes; H Shaw; T Lockyer; J Adcock, N Malceski; A Raines, S Hill (N Suban, A Kite)

C: J Corey; C Judd; K Cornes; J Selwood; C Masten, D Rich (M Robinson; T Swift)

R: D Cox; N Kreuzer (D Currie; J White)

F: M Pavlich; S Goodwin; J Brown; P Chapman; S Lucas, S Higgins; C Yarran (J Zeibell; S Gumbleton)

I assume by the lack of replies that no improvement is possible!!

Yep, looks like you have the competition sewn up!!

Personally, I'd rather have Masten in DT rather than SC as I think he is still learning to use the footy.

Would prefer Newman over Shaw.

Start Zeibell over Yarran.

Know there is not a lot of rookie rucks but I have tried to stay away from having 2 emergencies in the same position from the same team as they are vying for the same position. Both White and Currie have been tagged as possibly having games this year but really when one is playing the other most likely will not be.

Probably the only other thing I would say is a bit light on in quality premium backs none over $500K so maybe a Goddard, Newman, Fischer or Bowden to strengthen the bacline.

Thanks for the comments. For the rucks, I am working on the assumption that at least one of Cox and Kreuzer will always play and as such by having both White and Currie I should always have backup (i.e I don't need both my rookies playing). Normally this would be a bad idea as you want your rookies to play to increase in value, but rucks tend to score poorly (rookies that is) and don't change in value much. I am not 100% sold on this theory but at present I am sticking with it (may change in another rookie shows some form in the NAB and looks like may get a run out in Rnd 1).

As for premium backs, I agree I am a bit short, and may well bring in Goddard. However, I think after last years backline fiasco there are a number of well priced backs, who IMO will be premiums (Cornes, Shaw etc). I also think that as the centres is where the points are at, it makes sense to have a solid centreline, hence more premiums there.

Thing is you only have 3 emergencies so one area has to miss out for me that is usually the rucks as you have more chance of getting a zero in the other areas as more players. Thats why I would try and use the ruck bench to get some increase in value but that's jsut my opinion. As metioned before though not a lot of rookie rucks expected to play regularly. Hopefully rest of NAB cup one of them might shine and play a few games in the regular season.

Chris, I agree with the 3 emergency point and invariably you do not use one emergency to cover the ruck (as more likely that someone will drop out from the other positions) BUT you do want ensure you have cover if one of the two regulars can not play (i.e isn't a last minute withdrawal, which is essentially what emergencies cover). I just think this strategy offers some "guarantee". If for instance I went with White and say Vickery on the pine, and then Cox was injured, I could potentially be playing one short as both White and Vickery may not be picked in that week.

I have seen people taking the strategy even further and having Jolly, White and Currie as if Jolly is injured the other two are both likely to play. So you have a starting player and cover!

Thanks for you comments.

I have taken on some comments from above (primarily need for a gun in the back line, and I think Goddard is looking the best). I have then changed by forwardline as not sure about Brown or Chapman.

B: C Cornes; H Shaw; T Lockyer out B Goddard in; J Adcock, N Malceski; A Raines, S Hill (N Suban, A Kite)

C: J Corey; C Judd; K Cornes; J Selwood; C Masten, D Rich (M Robinson; T Swift)

R: D Cox; N Kreuzer (D Currie; J White)

F: M Pavlich; S Goodwin out N Reiwolt in; J Brown out Richo in ; P Chapman out Skipworth in; S Lucas, S Higgins; C Yarran (J Zeibell; S Gumbleton)
