Hey Lads, any chance of a rate before lockout?

DEF
Goddard, Gibbs, Deledio, Duffield, Grimes, Otten, Heppell
Stanley, Lower, Duigan

MID
Boyd, Pendlebury, Bartel, Foley, Swallow, Conca
Krakouer, Harris, Hibberd

RUC
Cox, Petrie
Vickery, Smith

FWD
Franklin, Sylvia, Johnson, Riewoldt, Higgins, Knights, Prestia
Richardson, Matera, Darling

$54,100 left.

Gone with the pretty common 4.5 gun backs, with 2 rookie pricers. Bench should be solid.
Midfield is a bit light on but I think there is pretty good value there. Foley and Conca should get a decent price rise before their bye in round 12. I know Bewick is a possible downgrade for one of the more expensive rookies, but think his job security is pretty suspect.
No Sandilands in the ruck. Output tends to drop off as the season gets on and think Petrie and Vickery should be good value.
Midfield setup leaves me with enough cash for 5 guns. Rookies pretty standard.

Anyone have any criticism or recommendations?
Projected R1 score has me worrying.

How safe is anyone with a history like his? He's had a full preseason and has always been talked about as a classy player. If there was ever going to be a good year (injury wise), why not this one. I'm willing to chance it.
I have been messing around with it to get Swan in, but it always leaves me unhappy with what is left. My (wishful) thinking is telling me Pendles will have a great season, but it is probably stupid to rely on that with the rest of the midfield I have.
Guess I still have tomorrow to get it right.

have u considered

conca-bewick +40k
swallow-irons +60k
vickery-97k player +80k
petrie-sandi -190k,
then use ur 50k to make these trades possible?

Yeah. I was looking at Conca to Irons, nets 43K. Could then go Pendles to Swan.
I'm just concerned about how many games irons/bewick will get. Bewick has Beams and Polec to contend with (although he is ahead at the moment, he was behind both about a month ago. These things can change quickly). And Irons.... I started with Mitch Banner last year - played 3 games, meager price rise, then no further games until R13. Also has Pittard to contend with, who Primus seems to love.
Also, at the moment there are no 97K rucks looking like getting games any time soon.

yeah that is a valid point.
have u thought about maximising points scored on the field though?
i.e. atm u have krakouer and vickery on the bench.
u could downgrade conca, and have irons as ur 3rd reserve (probably wont be needed), and put krakouer on the field.
then you can downgrade vickery and make a handy 80k.
then u can get another on field gun if u do a bit more fiddling.
do u see what i mean?

Yeah, thanks for the insight.
Looks like I'll be busy tomorrow.
