hey guys
I just want to see what u guys think of this point I have to make and tell me if it's worth keeping a point of or don't worry about it.

As we all know that rounds 21 to 24 feature byes from NM, Cats, Blues and the dons AND that also happens to be our finals. I'm going to take Chapman to use my point. Most of us won't be getting him from the start and hope he will drop in price and pick him around round 10ish. So that's possibly 2 trades (downgrade 1 rookie and upgrade another to him). Come round 22, Chappy will be out; IF you are facing a sudden death semi-final, I for one would be trading out my Geelong players to boost my scoring potential and won't be relying on coverage. If this sounds stupid, what happens if the opponent doesn't have cat players? Your at least 50 to 150 points behind already. And with that trade, will cost me 3 trades overall just for the one player.

I'm currently going for overall and I have Gibbs, A.Swallow, Bartel and SJ. I don't want to load up on anymore players from the 4 mentioned before as I might/will be in a position to sideways trade come finals. Anyway, I hope you get my point and let me know what u think.

i only have stevie j and gibbs from those 4 teams and hibberd heppell and richo hey will be gone i suspect b4 finals . so i only need to trades for 2 players apart from upgrades or l t i

It's a very good point dread_lord, I have 5 premiums from these 4 teams, so I guess I wont be looking to include anymore during the season. A further point to yours being if you trade in say 3 premiums from those 4 clubs during the year, that's 6 trades used, downgrading 1 rookie, upgrading another 1, so your allready in effect down to 18 trades left. Trade in 4 premiums from those clubs, that's 8 trades burnt down the line.  I guess there are premium players from 13 other teams to find. Food for thought.

yorgis

why would you not keep those players and if they have a bye in your league finals match, if you have no decent cover do a sideways trade [ they all should be worth a bit]. no need for rookies to be involved

Moral of the story is make sure you finish top 4 to get a second chance if you lose week one of the finals.

You could do well to get rid of the cats players for that one game, but come round 24 when Chapman/Bartel and Selwood smash out 130's you will be wondering why you lost the grand final

trade them back in, no good watching those plays smash it, if your just watching from the side lines, u gotta get there first

Geelong's final bye is in a prelim which means if you are in the top four and win your first final then you will not be playing in that round.

Ziplock

keep in mind only 2 people in each top 8 can dodge that round. So, if you're not coming first or second, you could be in a spot of trouble :P

bundyboy

so...moral of the story is.....

keep a few more trades than you think for finals

plus don't overload on final 4 teams.

Really only Jobe from Essendon a keeper people should be considering, most of us have gibbs and curnow, but not too many other Blues as keepers, Swallow & petrie as Nth players ...so not too much damage - big risk here is those lovely jucy scores punched out by Cats stars....really hard to resist !!!

Ziplock

selwood chappy and enright are the only ones that really draw my eye, chappy's mpp should help cover it though I guess...

Andrew

I've decided that unless form drops off or he gets dropped, Heppell will be last man out in round 24. Hoping to have $50-$100k to upgrade him to the best defender around.

PowerToWin

im planning to have 8 trades left for the remaining 4 rounds so I can make as many changes as I can.

FLOPITOUT1

Yeah if you get beaten round 21 i see no problem with sideways trades on geelong players that's what ill be doing
