EVERYONE, PLEASE LEAVE A RATE IN THE POLL. THANKS!

NEW TEAM:
BACKS: Goddard, Gibbs, Deledio, Broughton, Grimes, Otten, Lower (Heppell, Toy, Duigan)
MIDS: Swan, Boyd, Montagna, Bartel, D. Swallow, Harris (Prestia, Hibberd, Irons)
RUCKS: Sandilands, Cox (Z. Smith, Derickx)
FWDS: Franklin, Goodes, N. Riewoldt, Higgins, Knights, Krakouer, Richardson (Matera, Tapscott, Darling)

Cash left: $2, 200

EVEN NEWER TEAM:
BACKS: Goddard, Gibbs, Deledio, Broughton, Grimes, Otten, Lower (Stanley, Hibberd, Duigan)
MIDS: Swan, Boyd, Montagna, Bartel, D. Swallow, Harris (Heppell, Bewick, I. Smith)
RUCKS: Sandilands, Cox (Z. Smith, Bailey)
FWDS: Franklin, Goodes, N. Riewoldt, Higgins, Knights, Krakouer, Richardson (Matera, Tapscott, Darling)

Cash left: $7, 100

Think this newer team is better or what?

Decided to go back to I. Smith. I figure he might not get much game time but Heppell/Hibberd and Bewick can easily cover  for him.

How is it possible that i have 1100+ views but only 10 votes in forum? Lol. Oh, and who gave me a 6? Lol.... :) :P

Rnd 4 is a concern (like it is for many others) with 5 starters missing and one mid bench missing. Maybe start with a Kornes (solid point scorer) instead of Joey, frees up a bit of cash and look to upgrade McGlynn for Montagna after rnd 4 (preferably rnd 6 or 7).

Rnd 16 scoring potential is also a concern with three of your back starting 6 missing and one bench (you will have probably upgraded Lower by then)- and also Sandi and Knights missing too.

Your rnd1 midfield is reliant on Irons beating Pittard for that spot at Port (something I think will happen) and that Bewick is named, otherwise you may start with a donut in the mids.

I wouldn't start Lower ahead of Heppell, Guru has Heppell ten points in front of Lower for scoring in rnd1.
Guru also has your best available team for rnd 1 sitting at 1833 (plus Captain choice) and I think that's about 100 points short at least of where some more structured teams are.

Instead of Joey, wtf? And i already have Montagna... And btw, i don't need Irons to be names because i can swap players around field. Eg, put Gibbs in for Hibberd and Goodes in for Mcglynn. Then my mids are full of players, and in backs i get Lower covering for Gibbs (who will play) and Richardson for Goodes (who will also play.) Thgat's why i have MPP links; so i don't have to rely on just mid bench playing....

This team will easily average over 1833... Easily over 2000, for that matter.

McRooster

Joey is Montagna  ;)

What my first point was meant to reflect is that if you started with Kornes instead of Montagna you would have a better spread of available player in rnd4. This frees up cash to help you upgrade McGlynn to Montagna in later rounds therby having a core of four greater scoring potentials than you started with to move deeper into the season with.

My reference to Irons and Bewick being named was purely for Rnd1 donut potential, Rnd1 only  ;) Moving Gibbs into the mid for Hibberd or Goodes in for McGlynn does nothing for rnd1 if Irons and Bewick don't play as you will also be missing Harris and Swallow. That's four potentially missing in rnd1.

I have entered this team into FanPlanner and Guru has the score at 1833 for rnd1, plus your Captain score (as I stated). It means that rnd2 you will start around 100 points or so behind other more structured teams for overall.

Just a tip Just Clancy, read the whole post when receiving advice and respect who it is coming from  ;)

This is an example of what my (updated) team could look like rnd 1.

No donuts.

Also, sorry if you thought i wasn't respecting you as i really didn't mean to come across that way at all.  :P

McRooster

That is a very strong team.
It has the strongest centre structure I've seen  :o

I haven't seen many teams with 6 GC players, good luck with them all being named rnd2.

Allz good Clancy, you equally deserve my respect too and it is all our difference of opinions and judgements that help crystallise
our ideas in forming our sides. It'd be sooooo boring if all the sides were the same, I mean 300,000 people can't drive one FJ Cruiser  ;)

yorgis

prefer new team with the inclusion of jimmy, prestia's mpp,and richo starting. if you want to start lower AND heppel, obviously just switch heppel and hibberd. if prestia does'nt start swap with krak, and play whoever starts out of matera, tapscott and darling in kraks ' possy. no offence, but i just don't know how guru' and schmuru's can actually predict what scores a player will get? i mean it's like a computer picking the melbourne cup winner

Johnboy

Cant see Irons being named round 1.
Goodes getting old, permanent CHF position with no mids. Dont like it.

Spite

Well done, you are the first person to pretty much crack my team. We only have 4 differences in our teams. Good luck!

Goodes has been great in pre season. It's either him or Stevie J.

Hulmie

I like your team although i would still go Bewick (Averaged 77 over the NAB Challenge) over Prestia (67 over NAB challenge/Cup) willl save you 30k but i guess it comes down to personal opinion.

Yeah i really want Bewick for Prestia but then i won't have MPP link. :(

McRooster, you are looking to heavily in the fanplanner/ guru feature. Take it with a grain of salt, if you base selections on this feature you are probably not doing your team any favours.
