When he was played as a defender he didn't do all that well...

Untill last season, Spurs didn;t win a game with Bale on the pitch. This was when he exclusively played LB.

Ok so currently my starting XI is looking like this:



Starts off with one of the best keepers in the world at the moment, with a very solid defensive partnership in front of him. A midfield trio who should easily be able to control most of the game against any opposition, utilising Diarra's ability to read the play and break up attacks, Schweini's constant energy moving around everywhere and Fabregas' creativity and skill. Got width and a lot of pace with Sanchez and Di Maria on the wings who can both easily beat a man and deliver great crosses in to the box. Which is where Rooney is situated up front hassling defenders and getting physical up there. In my opinion this is a very strong side. Now just to get in some good full backs and we will be dandy :)
