alternate strategys

just wondering if anyone had any ideas in regards to something a bit different with strategy this yr going for the overall prize. going to be a different season this yr with the byes an such.

No offense, but its bad enough everybody's teams look the same. Giving away a secret strategy would ruin DT & SC even more.
I think the people that have truly great strategies will be keeping their cards close to their chest.

basically, people going overall have tried to disperse their players, especially their guns, over as many teams as possible to cover for byes, people going for league wins have just loaded up on teams with multi byes such as sydney and freo. Apart from that, careful trading, like not getting in GAJ in round 8 just in time for his 2nd bye, but waiting a few rounds to pull him in when he has a full game season remaining. Others intend on upgrading as their players have their bye, that way essentially skipping a bye for one position.

Apart from that, general strategies :P People are going a lot more mpp heavy this year though.

only play people who play on the left hand side of the field. That's a valid left field strategy.

ok, soz for stealing your idea dude.

my point is, there're a few unique strategies floating around, but for the most part, they remain unique because they contain either ridiculously high risks, or are just plain idiotic :P

I can't be bothered to pull many from the top of my head, but one of the most annoying ones is the non-gold coast one :P

where is somewhere good to look? i havent bothered looking in rate my team cos there all the same but is it worth filing through?

not really, any valid strategy that anyone's voiced has been adopted by the large :P You can go through the rate my team, but all you'll really get is an idea of structure :P

here is a unique strategy start petrie, smith as your ruck combo with bailey and keffe on the bench and load up everwhere else. the guy who won last eyar had a very weak rucking dpeartment.

the other ones to consider are starting a weak mid field, but absolutely loading the rucks, backs and forwards, or the opposite and loading the mids and starting with other weak positions. USe whichever one has the best cash cows I guess :P
