Have to ditch Brown. Gilbert looks a good option. Saints were talking tripe about him playing forward it seems. Is ROK back? Pav is Pav so an option. As is Brennan - bonus that he only has one bye.

Thinking Selwood won't play this week. Harris should be okay cover. Libba and Ward have Brisbane then the Suns so they will be in both weeks. Ahead of Harris if Selwood plays.

1. Gibbs (DEF)    138
2. Goddard (DEF)    119
3. Lower (DEF)    110
4. Shaw (DEF)    101
5. Everitt (DEF)    61
6. Duigan (DEF)    59
7. Smith (DEF)    48

8. Swan (MID)    166
9. Judd (MID) (VC)    108
10. Murphy (MID)    107
11. Ward (MID)    73
12. Selwood (MID)    24
13. Helbig (MID) (Emerg)    13

14. Cox (RUC)    165
15. Sandilands (RUC) (Capt)    274

16. Rioli (FWD)    117
17. Krakouer (FWD)    102
18. Higgins (FWD)    87
19. Riewoldt (FWD)    86
20. Franklin (FWD)    72
21. Richardson (FWD)    69
22. Brown (FWD)    65

Big Ange

looks like ur trading bud brown bud i would go for a rookie maybe tapscott if u dont have him

meow meow

Í was thinking Brown to a rookie, and Ward to Ablett. I know that's 2 trades already. But i have a feeling Gazza is going to kill it, and there is no need to wait for round 9. The amount he'll rack up will be worth suffering one bye for.

The problem with that is, that it's a bit of a waste of a trade, and Ward has Brissy and GC coming up and might pull 100's both weeks. I probably wont trade him out, but the lure of Ablett is quite tempting.

Spite

I just want to know if you made top 8 in week one? :)

I stuffed up. I had Helbig as emg, and was going to start Swallow and just gotten Helbig's score if he performed well. I forgot to swap Liberatore in after the richmond match.

charliesheen

your team does not look that bad.

J. Brown was a good unique pick I think.  h

The only thing I question is some of your back line choices, and of course Helbig.

Which ones?

Everitt was only going to be in for 4 rounds. He has the bye in round 5. 2 price rises (so i thought), sell a rookie, buy Lake after his round 4 bye.

Lower is this years Beau Waters.

Driving Under the Influence will play every week and should score 70ish. Good cow.

I liked the look of Smith in the nab. Good disposal. Stanley/Toy will come in for him this week.

I am not writing Helbig off yet. He'll get plenty of games.

I was worried about using early trades, but then looked at it this way. We have 4 extra trades, for 2 extra rounds. If you use 2 trades in each of the opening two rounds, then it works out to being the same as last year. 20 over 22 rounds. I know we didn't have a bye, but there is a plethora of bench rookies this year and they should be able to cover any and all of the byes, especially with all the cheap GC players. I'm confident of having at least 2/3 benchies playing every round.

I had to cut Brown loose, and the only forward i was considering was O'Keefe. One game can be misleading though, so i deemed it too risky. Pavlich is very appealing. But i decided to get in ahead of all of you and bring GAJ in. Ward out, even though i expect him to do well. Brown out, Tapscott in.

Now i don't know who to put the C on. Ablett, Swan, Judd, Murphy, Gibbs, Sandilands, Franklin, Roo, Rioli, Goddard? I'm thinking Ablett, just so i can sit back and grin at my masterstroke if it pays off.

charliesheen

Put captain on goddard he has a rediculous average agaisnt tigers

S. Johnson/Pavlich will hurt with Rioli + Franklin in r6.

Goodes hasnt been performing yet

I would take a punt on dawes and be unique!

I think the safest option would be R. Okeefe.

IMO Okeefe vs Dawese be good options!

hope that helps

Already had Gibbs, Murphy and Judd along with Duigan. The Blues served me well this week. Let's see how they go against the Pies though. Speaking of pies, i'm glad i put the C on great Dane.

1. Gibbs (DEF) (VC)    127
2. Goddard (DEF)    102
3. Shaw (DEF)    81
4. Lower (DEF)    37
5. Duigan (DEF)    78
6. Everitt (DEF)    39
7. Stanley (DEF)    61
8. Swan (MID) (Capt)    304
9. Murphy (MID)    133
10. Judd (MID)    117
11. Liberatore (MID)    127
12. Harris (MID)    109
13. Ablett (MID)    91
14. Cox (RUC)    129
15. Sandilands (RUC)    101
16. Rioli (FWD)    142
17. Tapscott (FWD)    91
18. Higgins (FWD)    105
19. Riewoldt (FWD)    95
20. Franklin (FWD)    108
21. Krakouer (FWD)    36
22. Petrie (FWD)    60

TOTAL SCORE:    2,273

Z. Smith looked good. Petrie looked like rubbish, and completely unsure what his role is. I might ditch Petrie for a rookie and just rely on Smith to cover the rucks.

I have 85K in the bank, and the extra 100K from Petrie could be used on getting rid of f'n Everitt and upgrading him to one of the Richmond guns or Enright. Or i'll keep the big useless Roo for a bit more and just bring in Bob for Everitt. Risky though. Not because of injury concerns, but because Lindsay will be back soon, so Murphy might drop off a touch. Maybe.

Midfield dilemma! Selwood will rip PA to shreds at the cattery, so he has to come in. He'd be coming in anyway, no matter who they are playing. Libba is an absolute gun, both in SC and real football. Tackling machine like dad, and a contested footy winner. Combine that with the dogs playing GC this week and he should be set for another big one. Ablett should get 120+ this week against the not so accountable dogs mids. Picken will have a go, but GAJ is unstoppable. 91 in his first real game this year is acceptable, and its all uphill from here. But Harris scored 109 so how can i drop him?

Cyril for Captain this week. 170 coming up against the Tigers, provided he tries for the whole game.

charliesheen

Petrie was always going to start slow.  Plus they were against the Collingwood Giant, this normally causes people to perform below par!!

Forward line looks fine IMO, way too early to change it.  If anything choosing the right rookie, on the last forward slot is going to be what makes or breaks.

I would downgrade everitt, keep cash, and determine later.  Personally, I like the Look of chris dawes/gray.

Everitt out - Suckling in. Due to his monster 139 his price will rise at the end of rounds 3 an 4, then i can trade him out for a premium. He'll rise in value, and i have 178,000 in the bank due to selling Everitt for a cheaper player.

Atley is gone. Got Curnow. Need to have good cash cows so i can upgrade quicker. Like i said, there is no problem using trades early. 20 trades remain for 22 rounds. same as last year. At least this way i know who the good cows are, and it's better to jump on before it's too late.

Got a really strong urge to put the C on Higgins this week.
