I am starting to see a pattern with my team now.

2 weeks ago: 2057
this week: 2252
next week: 2447
week after: 2642
after that: 2837

Things are starting to look good. No bombers in round 24 should see a decent score at this rate.

Marstar

LOL I'm in a similar boat.

2 weeks ago: 1771
Last week : 2152
This Week: 2448

Nextweek : 2700/2800?

Currently 395 Overall. While Overall is good for bragging rights ... as seen by the 1771 where i hade 4.2 worth of players averaging 100+ on the bench, Rounds 16 and 19 will be equally brutal.

Won my grudge match in the league by 300 points, even though Bolton as expected fizzled, but with Tapscott out and Higgins doubtful, I'll be delaying Mundy for another week (which suits as he may fall in price this week a bit more).

I'll be looking at bringing in a FWD/MID with Mzungu so i can swap them at will. Chappy seems the best choice in value/scoring potential ... however peoples continued comments about his hammys makes me cautious. Also i have Johnson and Selwood ... so i dont want to be sideways trading in finals if i lose the 1st match (confident i'll win it though).

Other options are Fyfe, Sylvia, O'Keefe etc etc.

Don't believe the crap about Chapman's hamstrings. It is just people trying to convince themselves that not getting him is the right thing to do. They are in denial.

There is also another bloke who people should keep an eye on. 2009 1st round draft pick named Christian Howard. Listed as a defender in SC, but killing it on a wing in the VFL. Midfielder in the guise of a back? Perfect.

Aww yeah. Perfect downgrade for Stanley or Batchelor next week.

Did you happen to watch Carlton Vs Geelong last Friday night?.. i dont think its 'crap', i think there are genuine concerns for those things going twang before finals! im surprised they're not resting him this week to be honest.

meow meow

You better pass that on to Geelongs medical staff. They probably would rest him if they knew as much about his hamstrings as you do.

charliesheen

risks vs rewards.

Chappy's ability to average 10-20 ppg over any other premium forward is well worth it, even though it may cost me a sideways trade in the future.

charliesheen

Personally, thought Howard looked very good.  Will need to keep an eye on him.

What do you think about Wallis, do you still think he is still a viable downgrade option?  He is still <120k.  I think he has potential to score much higher, I just don't know about his job security.

I think that now that our season is over, his JS is very good. I personally wouldn't have him in the WB side, or my SC team. He has shown very little so far, except for okay forward pressure. Not going to rack them up like he did in the TAC cup. Should improve a little though.

Howard's long left boot is suited to SC, and he has shown that he can run all day, and has a crack. Should play every game from now on, and he won't be rested due to being a 2nd year player with some VFL experience and a couple of preseasons.

Round 11: Score 2279. Was ranked 757 for the round so I guess it's okay!

This week I am planning on downgrading Matera to Mzungu, and Batchelor to Howard. $368,000 in bank.
Next week it's Duigan or Stanley to Newman, and Lynch to J.Brown. Should leave ~ 65K in the bank.
Then it's Toy > Jacobs the next week.

Team will be finished, with only 4 trades left. I plan on trading both of Judd and Murphy (to SWAN/Pendlebury) when they have their bye, or at the first sign of injury or wife giving birth. I'll use the leftover 65K to trade Cross to someone good (Montagna with no byes) if he continues to suck.

Team next week will be:

Goddard, Gibbs, Deledio, Newman, Suckling, H.Shaw, Drummond  ::). Stanley, Howard, Jacobs
Ablett, Judd, Murphy, Selwood, Hodge, Cross. Hibberd, Helbig, Winmar
Sandilands, Cox. Smith, J.Tip
Buddy, Chappy, Brennan, N Roo, J Roo, Brown, Petrie. Mzungu, I.Smith, Richardson.

Low amount of trades remaining, but:

Hibberd, Jacobs, Howard, Stanley as back cover.
Hibberd, Jacobs, Mzungu, Helbig as mid cover.
Z.Smith as ruck cover.
Mzungu, I.Smith as forward cover. This will be upgraded eventually.

If everyone in this team goes close to scoring their best, then it is a possible 3000 point team. The PA/ESS/NTH bye weeks should see some decent scores.

Cheers Meow Meow, will be definitely looking to bring Howard into the team when he is on bubble.  Hopefully he is over those hip issues I think he was having?

I personally think the Judd/Murphy combo will probably score just as highly as the Swan/Pendlebury combo this year.  Murphy is really underpriced, just don't know how I am going to bring him into my team.

Wish I had room for J. Brown :(  Didak will proabably become my D8 and M7 at this stage, so will look to bring him in after the bye.

In hindsight, if people had traded swan out 4 weeks ago, IMO, you would have come out a winner.  Good gamble especially considering it was all there to see~

meow meow

Yeah he had a cleanout done on his other hip that didn't even need it, just to make sure there isn't an issue with that one later.

meow meow

Drummond will be the key to this team. He'll be back with half the season to go, so I don't think it was that bad of a mistake to make. I wanted him eventually anyway. As long as he has that leg still attached, he is a weapon. Long time ago, but the potential is still there for another round 10:

Marstar

OK so another week another upgrade/downgrade choice.

Bewick -> Mzungu is the obvious one.

Upgrade though is out of 2:

Harris/Conca -> Embley
or
Otten -> Enright

While im cruising in my league at no1 with the highest overall aswell ... Enright will make 4 Cats ... and if i don't win that 1st final ... could be 4 nails in my 2011 SC coffin.

Emberly is playing GCS ... and has been scoring very well this year. Gives me a very Unique player.

Marstar

No update MM?

Well i decided Conca -> Emberly ... how he smashed the Suns !!
