This is my first year having a go at the dream team and would love to hear any opinions on my current team specifically sorted for the Suns having the bye in Round 1

DEF: Goddard, Deledio, Broughton, Malceski, Grimes, Otten, Heppell (Puopolo, Duigan, Lower)

MID: Swan (C), Simpson, Foley, Polec, Conca, Smith A, (Swallow, Harris, Smith I )

RUC: COX (VC), Bellchambers (Bailey, Derickx)

FOR: Franklin, Sylvia, Johnson, Riewodlt, Pavlich, McQualter, Richardson C (Gamble, Prestia, matera)

Malceski has re-injured his knee otherwise backs look alright
mids - look a bit weak
rucks - would choose different rookies and probably wouldnt pick bellchambers either but its your choice
fwds - look good but might swap out mcqualter as he only avgs 65 and cant see that improving

most points are accumulated by midfielders, so grab some premiums and upgrade mids

Drop McQualter for a rookie like darling or michie and start gambling

DEF: Goddard, Gibbs, Deledio, Broughton, Grimes, Otten, Heppel (Lower, Puopolo, Duigan)

MID: Swan, Simpson, Sidebottom, Selwood, Krakouer, A Smith (Swallow, Harris, I Smith)

RUC: Sandilands, Cox, (Tippet, Z Smith)

FOR: Franklin, Sylvia, Johnson, Riewoldt, Pavlich, Gamble, Richardson, (Matera, Tapscott, Darling)

DEF: starters are solid, though the same as the majority of other teams. Look for another rookie, puopolo doesn't have the best job security. You should really try to have at least 1 GC rookie in every position. You could consider Coad/Stanley/Toy.

MID: a bit different to the all too common Swan-Boyd-Montagna/Pendles/Selwood. May have a problem come round 7 when Collingwood have their bye. You will be missing Swan, Sidey and Krakouer: I know you can switch Krakouer with a FWD MPP but still leaves you relying on rookies covering two of your higher scoring players.
I'm assuming you are counting on Sidebottom having an even better year this year. His price is a little awkward for me, but if you are convinced...
Simpson is a nice POD.
I'd suggest you look at replacing Alistair Smith, I cannot see him getting too much game time this year unless the Saints have a bad run with injuries.
Same goes for Isaac Smith, uncertain on his scoring ability and job security. Could look at Irons(PA)/Pittard(PA)/Curnow(CAR)/Bewick(BL)/Atley(NM).
You might also want to look at getting a MPP link to your BACKS, to enable to switch with Goddard/Gibbs/Heppell. Pretty common pick is Hibberd - looked pretty good during the last couple of NAB cup games (both 60+ pts from memory).

RUCK: pretty common, Sandi and Cox is a lock and forget combination. I think there is some better value out there but peace of mind is always nice.
Look at replacing Tippett - the only real reason to have him is if you are going to have Petrie in your forward line to utilise the MPP capability. It is not looking like he will get too much game time this year. There are a few sub 100K players that have been talked about during the preseason: Derickx(RICH), Redden(PA), Bailey(HAW), Keefe(COL) but there is some uncertainty as to whether they will actually be selected.

FWD: Not too bad. 5 premium and 2 cheap/rookie priced players is pretty strong. Richardson and Matera should be locks in most teams, really. I think Gamble is a pretty decent pick - I remember reading an article where Ross Lyon was saying they were going to change their forward structure to incorporate Gamble.
Darling I think is almost one of those have to have rookies.
Tapscott will make you a decent amount of cash.
If you want to keep Tippett on your ruck bench, you could look at getting Petrie into your forward line. However, you need to keep in mind that he will be missing round 1 due to suspension and then round 3 when NM have their bye.
