2011 Scoring Averages, Midfield Estimates!

Going to have a go at estimating average scores over the season, within a 5 point range for different players. Will start with the top scorers and work down. Just doing this for a bit of fun and the scores are based just on my opinion. Feel free to tear it to shreds or tell me why I'm wrong. If we all the had the same opinions we'd all have the same team and that would be boring!

The scores are based around players being fit for the majority of the season and playing 15+ games. Based my averages on previous scoring, age, team position, role in the side, potential and so on. Have not done estimates for rookies, not seen enough of any of them yet.

The list was done from most to least expensive so the list of players in each section is listed in order from most to least expensive.

I reckon swap Cross and Boyd around though. Cross is more suited to SC than Boyd imo.

Not bad. Few ones i would have different but everyones will be different. The one that i reckon you have got wrong the most is scott Selwood avg less than 60. Reckon he will avg atleast 80

Yeah the dogs midfield, Boyd, Cross, Cooney is tough to place for me. Could be any order really, just don't like the extremely high number of handballs from Cross.

Who gives a shi** about how much cross handballs?! He avg'd 114 last year so it's obviously not having a negative impact on his game.

Not denying he is a gun, still think he average close to 110 anf be in he top dozen odd scorers in the afl. Perhaps I should clarify in that I think he should be a more effective kick, if he set up more inside 50's with brilliant kicking like Selwood, Pendlebury, Ablett he would be in there league, but thats the only thing that leaves him slightly behind imo. But thats why the dogs have guys like Gilbee and Cooney, to run and finish!

Hehe kidding, good list mate though i agree swap cross and Boyd. Others I noticed in my quick scan of it were that jack is a bracket too high and Boak is a bracket too low. Still, all that is opinion if I knew who'd score what I'd go collect my car now!
