This team is fool proof!

Ive done alot of thinking and with the Mzungu injury will be starting 3 Gold Coast players in the forward line. While it's not ideal having three players from the one team in the one position, it will be better to confront this situation early rather than between rounds 2 - 9. Alot of these will be out before the Goldcoast's second bye in round 9 so that is not an issue. I have sufficient DP links between my mids and forwards so Swan, Pendlebury and Krakouer in the middle is fine.
The team looks like this;

Backs: Goddard, Gibbs, Broughton, Mackie, Grimes, Otten, Heppell (Stanley, Lower, Duigan)

Mids: Swan, Boyd, Pendlebury, Foley, Swallow, Krakouer (Harris, Bewick, Hibberd)

Rucks: Cox, Jolly (Smith, Tippett)

Forwards: Franklin, Sylvia, S Johnson, N Riewoldt, Fyfe, Petrie, Prestia (Matera, Richardson, Dixon)

What are your thoughts?

good team, nice balance of $$

better options at that price than fyfe IMO - yarran, grey, knights

also think tapscott, darling, mckernan etc are better options than dixon

mackie is an interesting selection and i have thought about him, but saved cash and went with adcock

not sold on jolly either

swan and pendles in the same midfield is a worry for bye rounds... i am looking to upgrade to pendlebury as they have there bye over fairly early

Cicjose

not if tippet misses games you won't

Superman

Thanks for the input mate

Cicjose I think your missing something

Superman

I dont particularly rate McKernans scoring, Ill have a look into Tapscott though

Mish

dude you have 3 GC forwards and petrie isnt playing round 1 either, thats 4 out in the first round...

not sure mackie will have such a great year this year.

you have 3 mids all from collingwood, better pray people dont get injuired.

Superman

Fine Ill spell it out for you
Richardson replaces Petrie
Use DP to replace Prestia with Krakouer
Prestia and Swallow go to midfield bench and are replaced by Hibberd and Bewick

get it?

4 Pies in your starting team, 3 in midfield and Jolly in rucks, rookies replacing them during Pies bye weeks, you will lose 200 points per bye. Minus 400 from the 2 bye rounds. Good luck catching that up with the overall leaders.

Easily you can replace Pendlebury with a Judd, Jolly with a Ryder. Spread your team to cover byes every week, there are 17 teams to pick a starting 22 from, that's an average of 1.3 per team.

I think 4 starters from 1 team with bye weeks like we have this year could kill your score, will probably lose you league games that week as well. That's my view, maybe I'm wrong, but I haven't got more than 2 starters from each club, because I don't want to replace too many 100 plus scorers with rookies scoring anything from 40-80, that's a bit of a killer some weeks. Because you allready have 3-4 other starters who are rookies, i.e. Swallow, Heppell, Richardson, Prestia, etc.

Also, just noticed you will have to sit 5 starters on your bench Round 6 when Fremantle, Geelong and Hawthorn have byes. And cop 5 rookie scores that week, plus your starting rookies scores.

Sorry for the ramble, hope I helped. Good luck dude.
