less premium $ = more balance with earning potential

DEF: B. Gibbs, C. Bruce, B. Deledio, G. Broughton, J. Grimes, J. Adcock, A. Otten (D. Heppell, N. Duigan, N. Lower)
MID: M. Boyd, L. Montagna, S. Pendlebury, J. Bartel, N. Foley, R. Conca (D. Prestia, D. Harris, M. Hibberd)
RUC: D. Cox, D. Hale (J. Tippett, Z. Smith)
FWD: L. Franklin, B. Harvey, S. Johnson, N. Riewoldt, D. Petrie, A. Krakouer, B. Matera (C. Richardson, L. Tapscott, J. Darling)
CASH LEFT: $26,200

difference is, my bench will actually play and make a $. There seems to be alot of smiths etc who will simply not play!

Interesting idea, hopefully you won't run out of trades if half a dozen of your players aren't performing. Where is J Tippett in pecking order?

Hoggy

Team is ok, although i think not having GOD and Swan is a massive risk. They are 2 solid captain choices every week and nearly every other team will have them. Only other problem i see is your rucks. Will hurt you in first 3 rounds, after that im guessing your going to swap petrie in there?

hugebbq

pure f/r link with hale and petrie

swan goddard etc WILL come down in $$ with breakevens around 170's. i have chosen players who will score similar and are cheaper. my mid pricers and rooks will all play and make $ (except tippet who i dont care about) compared to some of those that people are choosing who will not get game time, remain on their dollar = make no $$

hugebbq

the risk of no god or swan is minimised by

pendles in lieu of swan (score similar and less $$) = allows foley as 5th mid= i'll be in upgrade zone before the likes of others.
bruce in lieu of god (will score similar and less $$ = adcock 6th and otten 7th = again i'll be in upgrade zone earlier

this all while not having to rely on rooks in my A team

Hoggy

Although pendles will imrpove this year, i dont know if he'll be able to reach the heights of Swan and Bruce is definitely not in the same category as GOD. Even if pendles improves his average to 110-112 and swans drops 2-3points on his, he will still be outscoring pendles by up to 10 points on average a game. As your captain every week, that doubles to around 20ppg. There's a pretty big differance there which over the season could be the differance in your overall ranking. IMO swan and god are must haves, saying that though, it does leave you with a pretty solid starting backline and midfield.

hugebbq

i agree that swan and god are must haves. just not at the start of the season with a large price and super large breakevens. i WILL be getting swan and god and when i do it will be for possibly $100K less than everyone choosing them at the start of the season.

beermee

bu then you burn 2 trades getting swan and god..... trades are everything!

yorgis

no swan god sandi chaps WHO will be your captain every week until you upgrade to one of them ???

hugebbq

foley > swan= 1 trade etc etc ..

again by not choosing the most expensive allows for all players chosen game time and $ improvement. alot of people are choosing rooks that wont play many games and what are you gonna make $ wise. You need money to upgrade.

boyd, montagna and pendles for capt

again sandi will come down and i'll pounce

the uniqueness could pay off

hugebbq

i believe people are relying too much on the cheap cheap rooks because they have to as they have spent all their dosh$$. every player bar smith/tippett will get quality game time and $$
