any thoughts here
D.Cox versus no ruck north melb is way im heading

Swan - safe and boring, but theres a reason he averaged 125 last year, and playing port adelaide in melbourne, easy win.

dmac, if the Pies are cruising to an easy win, do you reckon they might 'rest' Swan?

only slight concern with swan is primus seemed to use cornes as a tagger again the last 6 weeks of last season, before that williams had him running around loose. Got swan as vice at moment, probly only time this season...lol

Not in the first round. Has been taking it easy in he preseason and ready to explode round 1 against what is a likely bottom 4 team. 110 points as a minimum I think. Not to say there aren't other options, Selwood, Judd, Goddard could score a 150. But Swan is the safe bet.

from an inj-risk POV tfer??
I can just see Joffa choking into his beer if Swanny went down in junk-time ...  ;)
(in no way would i wish this on Swanny - he is a champ!)

FactHunt

if u splash the cash for swan... surely you put your good dollars to work. (it would be like buying a ferrari and sitting it in a garage)

Why don't you try the Split round captain trick. Put your VC on a Carlton or Richmond player, if they do well put the C on a GC player. If they don't then choose a captain like Swan.

This way you have 2 cracks at captain.

+1. everyone will put their VC on gibbsy or judd if u have him. could even put it on dlids but i reckon we'll smash the tigs like we do in round 1 every year and gibbsy will score 125.

What about Marc Murphy? and how much would you need your vice-captain to score from the first game to be a score you'd keep?

nas

As most teams have him VC on Gibbs & C on Swallow (gc) then the scores if to your happiness leave it or put the C on Swan / God or wh ever.

125+

+1 has to as much or more than goddard/swans average.

Nuffman

I'm having Gibbs for VC and Pendles C (no Swan).

If Gibbs can't pull 120+ then Pendles will do it whilst dismantling the Power
