So it's getting towards crunch time for we coaches and I thought I'd get everyone to list the calculated risks that you are taking this year. The risks are often become uniques.

For example at one point I thought I'd go Monfores but have already realised that is not the go, I'm avoiding risks like Fraser, Stevie Johnson, Tippett(s), Foley, Liam Anthony etc

My risks are likely to be Higgins (like many others), Corey and Cox.

Who are your calculated risks?

Stevie Johnson is tempting me of late....

I'm also thinking Boomer. Yes, he's getting on a bit, but really a champion player. Consistency not what it use to be though....

At the moment i have Adcock, Krakouer(Nathan) and Gray, but i recon i will tae 2 out of 3 out as i have based this on them being underpriced and they are looking fit in preseason

Your not the only one tempted to get Boomer, he has been ripping it up in the nab cup BOG in his last few

Risks

2 premiums + 1 mid price (Kennedy) + all rookie mid field
Adcock/Otten <-- really not confident in this, contemplating getting everitt over adcock.

Ditching Petrie <-- and going with knights and vez

i added boomer think he will do great.  had to get rid of goodes though (though goodes seems to be killing it now too) .

Boomer so good for so long and a calculated risk but I'm not sure about a full season, upgrade target me thinks.

Has a bye late in the season (finals) so it seems if you want him then start him. ???

KNIGHTS up fwd is one for me and not going to take the punt on Chappy and going with SUPERPAV ...

The real risk takers are the ones who aren't starting with Goddard, Swan AND Sandilands.

Or whoever has Chappy. CRAZY.

I don't get the extreme love for Grimes, while bashing Drummond. They are as bad as each other and i am staying well away from Grimes.

As for risks - Bob Murphy, Higgins, Jeff Garlett, and Dustin Martin to defy the 2nd year rule, much like Jeff did last year. This kid is a STAR.

check out swannies history meow meow... he always dips in average and price and hits his straps about mid season - it makes him the perfect upgrade target

i think this year more than ever you can put all your eggs in one basket, therefore my risk is that i have more mpps and mid pricers than usual.

cotchin, jetta, yarran, fraser, everitt - my risks but i've watched their progress and think they will all improve price and average this year

A lot of risk love for Everitt and Knights around the place.

Startin Krak, Richardson, and Prestia..?

Was going to be ROK but seeing that Goodes is burning it up he might get off to a better start than usual. 50/50...I'll have one of them.
