Demeitoru has said that there will be 20 teams somewere down the track but they wont be considerd until gc and gws are well established.

Asked if the timeframe could be in the next 10-15 years, he said: "Why not?"

with possible targets including northern Queensland, Tasmania and the prospect of a third side in Western Australia.

dosent look like nt or act are in the afl sites

northen queensland would be distarous i belive they already have nrl,nbl and nq fury want bak in the a-league in a couple of seasons

i would want tassie to be the 19th  :)

I agree.  The AFL are milking all of Queensland for what they are worth, with the failing of NQ Fury, it shows that it is not a good area for sport.

Tassie and another WA team sounds good, just wondering where the WA team would be?  Near Perth again?

WA isnt like nsw or qld or vic it dosent have fairly big citys some r big but not close to anything else
maybe a team in nsw a central coast team covering newcastle and gosford or a ballrt/bendigo team

And if they add two more teams, and one of them ISN'T Tassie, I will be very close to boycotting. That's how pissed I'd be.

broome has 15 k and the only town within in realistic drving distance is derby which is less ppl

I agree. Tassie should get one. Would like to see Darwin/NT the other team but that could be a problem with the Heat during the season (from what I've seen/heard from previous years matches there).

Not trying to be rude Crowsfan but the 2 x SA teams at the moment are struggling with crowd numbers and stadium deals, why would you want to bring another club in to that situation. 

I think Tas definitely could support a team (bad luck Hawks :P) and WA could support a 3rd team.

Until the Adelaide oval is sorted out no way & as it is now re the money as stated it's not viable. IMO

Would love to see Tas get a team. We have been trying for so long! Will be interesting to see if Tas gets a soccer or football team first...
