I have $16,600 in the bank. I'm really happy with my side. I have 16 keepers in there so that means i only need to upgrade 6 on the field to get a team full of keepers which is ideal i think. Obviously I just have to wait and make sure that all my rookies are going to be playing but i would say so. The only one I'm really waiting on is seeing if Irons comes up from his injury and gets a game in rd 1, if he does I might trade out Beams for Irons and see if I can't use the money to possibly upgrade Higgins to someone more durable such as ROK possibly, still wanting to keep the flexibility of MPP. Speaking of MPP i have two Mid/Fwd in the mids (Mzungu and Prestia) and one Mid/Back in the mids in Heppell. I have 5 backs that have a MPP for the mids and 4 in the forwards so I hope this gives me enough flexibility to cover some donuts, but doesnt sacrifice scoring potential.

Thoughts??

Chatters of all the sample teams I have viewed this is the 1st I have rated. This is a good team! Are you going overall or league?

I like your forward structure however goodes and sylvia share a bye as well as higgins and roo. I like your rucks and i'm sure you will upgrade to sandi at some point.

I like your backs I am undecided on grimes my preference is broughton or duffield. Your mids concern me the most zu is out easily replaced (smith if you want mpp) like to see prestia in fwds bench in place of darling. Again boyd and montagna share a bye and am unsure if the scoring potential of heppell and atley will be enough. Too much pressure on rookies to pump out huge scores.

One of the best rates i have seen this year  ;)
I too agree that this team has good structure and obviously a lot of research has gone into the selection of rookies. The combo of players not playing due to byes will hurt.

Footy God

Not keen on Claye Beams, go with Bewick imo

Thanks for the great reviews guys. I am going for overall more than league, however they byes is something that im trying to cover with the use mpp such as prestia being in the mids rather than the fed line. It will hopefully give me the flexibility that I will need to cover the donuts, that's why Heppell is in there too. The rookies in the mids usually score pretty well too. Ive tried to make the team as balanced as possible, but unfortunately the better scorers usually come from the stronger teams. Beams and Mzungu are players I could look at swapping, berwick is one, but smith I doubt I'll go with. Keep the reviews coming!

Pretty decent team mate with some interesting selections.
Backs: Very solid and Bock should improve although he is more of a supercoacher
Mids: I assume you will be trading Mzungu out for someone. Other than that its pretty good, especially if you are going for a league win.
Rucks: Sandilands is a must imo but ryder and cox will both do well.
Fwds: Very strong.

Overall i give it a 8.5/10

can you please rate mine,

Mzungu remains on my team until officially ruled out for rd 1. Buckley I'm very certain is on the senior list. Lower is on the team under the presumption that he will be elevated based on his form thus far.

sorry chatters24 buckley is not on the rookie list, i was thinking about jye bolton. but yeah buckley has shown a fair bit in the nab [ hopefully he will get games, and he is also a mpp def/mid ] sorry champ

Thats ok yorgis. What's enshrined thoughts on Higgins? Worried with his durability he might be a liability

Ha ha just thought it was worthy of a rate. :)

i 've got higgo and i'm thinking surely he's got to have an injury free year sooner or later.  they say he's had a massive pre season and he's been preety well in their best players every week.here's hoping

chatters24

Any idea's on replacement for Mzungu if he is going to miss a couple of weeks? I'm thinking that if Irons injury is only minor and he gets elevated then he could be a go. I think I'm going to stick with Beams as he was named in the best yesterday and would be a unique rookie pick I would think.

In regards to the comments that I've recieved aboout how my team may struggle with the byes, I decided to put it to the test for the 1st 12 rounds (after 12 rounds I'm sure it will look much different with the use of trades). I have attached the excel document. What I have found is in round 4 with BL, STK & WB all having the bye, I will be missing 3 in the midfield. So I may have to look at other options in regards to having Boyd, Monty and Beams in the same mids. In round 5 when MELB, SYD & WC have a bye I have 3 missing in the forwards with Sylvia, Goodes and Darling, where Darling would be the most likely option to change up there. Other than that I have a couple of rounds where 2 players are missing in the one position but I cant see it being a massive problem as I back my research in the rookies that I pick to hopefully play games.

Let me know what you think!

Ok so I've been considering my options and I've thought the best option may be to trade out Boyd and replace him with choppy. That would mean there would only be 2 players missing when stk, wb and bl have a bye and then in the next Ed when Sydney, melb and wc have a bye chappy can swap with either goodes or Sylvia, thus giving me the flexibility and the opportunity to pick up Boyd after the bye!
