Not going to say my piece on Kobe, as most of you already know what I'll say.
shaq > kobe?  ;)

heh, heh! this ain't a 'players at their peak' draft is it??!!   ;)

Andrew3737

A lot of players > Kobe in this, but meh.

RiOtChEsS

i take it we r doing a 15 man roster... 13 available 2 in suits :P

Justin Bieber

I'm in a tough spot. It's Heart vs Head. It's PF's vs PG.

Since this is franchise, I'll go for the younger one this time as I know Andrew is high on the older one ;). He is a beast and at 22 years old this year as well makes him a force for years to come. He's an offensive and rebounding machine and is certainly a franchise player.

Now just hope I can grab one of the 2 I want next pick!

nice pick HP once this bloke gets a few more seasons under his belt who knows how good he will be,
at the moment he can dominate on talent alone

Andrew3737

I was going to go Griffin with one of my picks. but it doesn't really matter.

yep, it's scary how much i seem to think like HP ... i almost went for Griffin to build the dynasty ...   ;)

Taking the most obvious pick ever. How the hell did CP3 drop to 8? He is top 4 easy with number 3 almost written all over him. He has the potential to be the greatest PG ever.

Best PG in the league and the 3rd best player in the league, and has been for quite some time. I mean, compare him to LBJ, Durant, Rose

http://www.basketball-reference.com/play-index/pcm_finder.cgi?request=1&sum=0&p1=paulch01&y1=2011&p2=jamesle01&y2=2011&p3=duranke01&y3=2011&p4=rosede01&y4=2011

2nd in PER to LBJ
1st in WS
1st in OWS
2nd in DWS
2nd in eFG%
1st in TS%
1st in 3pt%
1st in FT%
1st in AST% and obviously assists
1st in STL% and obviously steals

And look what I can except from him. This is from his "peak" years when he is 22 and 23.

22

PER: 28.3
TS%: .576
eFG%: .524
OWS: 13.2
DWS: 4.6
WS: 17.8

23

PER: 30.0
TS%: .599
eFG%: .528
OWS: 13.3
DWS: 5.0
WS: 18.3

They are MVP numbers.

Team so far

PG: Chris Paul

Andrew3737

I could take the BPA at this time, but he simply would not fit.

Therefore, I take the next BPA, the best offensive big man in the game today.

Super underated career. Has been the best player on 2 Championship teams. Robbed of the finals MVP last season, Gasol is an elite offensive big man, and a borderline great defender. Has an extremely high TS%, good eFG% and obviously good PER. OWS/DWS/WS are high too.

The best PG for a while+the best offensive big man for at least another 2 years = RANGZZZZZZ

Team so far

PG: Chris Paul
C/PF: Pau Gasol

Maca24

Must admit its ridicolous how Paul slipped.

Hulmie

This is where it comes down to personal opinion.

Beacause in my mind i feel as though CP3 is 3rd in line for PG's.

I also feel he is slightlly injury prone.

agree on the injury part. But i think he is probs equal 1st with Rose in terms of PG's

Andrew3737

3rd in PG's????????

CP3>Rose>>>>>>>D-Will/Undrafted/Undrafted/Undrafted

Also, it can't be personal opinion when it's in black and white who is the better player.

Hulmie

As i said personal opinion.

I personally prefer D-Will his passing game and playmaking skills are the best in the league, and he has probably the 2nd best offensive game of all PG's.

Lol to you Andrew and your opinions just because you say it doesn't make it true.
