with Mzungu out there isn't alot of cheap stars in the making but there isnt alot of premiums whoare going to score 90 plus...Is it worth playing 3 or 4 cheap players eg. Krakouer, richardson, Matera and some one else and stocking up Midfield or backs?

thoughts on players that might have a break out year in the forward line that are cheap?

nice strategy, but i dont think it would work.
ud be in struggle town for the first 6 or so rounds.

Care to go into further detail Maca?
Surely those players will go up after 5 rounds and some of those high priced premiums will drop... while i will not need to make trades in my midfield and defence due to the fact ill have 4 premiums in both areas...

Difficult stategy to implement your also assuming you won't need any double trades to get a fallen premium (brown goodes pav).

i reckon its good. theres alot of value there. e.g. darling, richardson, tapscott, matera and then the higher price krakeour, prestia.
Where as all the good rookies in the midfield are at such a high price. No bargain based rookies in the midfield besides atley, wallis, libba, and the bulldogs pair wont get games early on.

well you wont be scoring much in those first rounds with rookies. rookies are also inconsistent and may not play every game. your better off evening out your team.

all rookies will be inconsistent. and there are cheap rookies and expensive rookies. In the midfield there arent any bargain based cheap rookies that will play besides harris and atley. where as the forwards have an abundance of cheap bargain based rookies that will play. I believe this year there are value in the forward rookies. If swallow, conca, polec were cheaper this would be a different story.

Having your midfield 'set' early is not the wisest think to do. The middy's are the best cash cows so take all the ones in there that you can get. I personally will be having 3 prem and 3 rookies to kick off with (though I am searching for the courage to go 2/4)

If he loads the mids with quality, then how will be be struggling in the early rounds? Mids score more than anywhere else so it will have no effect on those rounds. Judds 120 and Darlings 50 will be just as good as Riolis 100 and Swallows 70. However Swallow will rise higher, thus being more advantageous to go with rookie mids.

Plus forward there are plenty of mid rookies that will play 22 rounds.. Unlike fwd, you may cop a few donuts which could hurt
