Midfield strategy

What is the better combo to start your midfield with -
4 Prems 2 rookies
3 Prems 1 mid 2 rookies
3 Prems 3 rookies

I have gone 3 and 3.

Not a fan of the mid pricers

4 and 2 for me.

I could have gone 3 & 3 and started Mzungu in the mids but it's better to start him fwd because it means I have one less fwd premium to choose which means one less player out during rounds 4, 5 & 6 (Since almost all fwd premiums have the bye in these rounds).

How come? Cause the rookies will go up in price more? The one thing about mids is they will score better at the start and maybe turn into Prems so you save trades

It's really whatever suites your team, has to fit into the salary at the end of the day..

Yep you're right, but you also have to remember that the prem's in the mids will score you more, so the idea is to upgrade there first before anywhere else. If you go 3-3 in the mids, then you need to ensure that you have some quality elsewhere to make up for it.

If you go 3-3 in the mids then you really go for the mid price options in the fwd/def because you need to make up for losing some of that potentency from the mids...

Not sure if i agree with you Fletch74. By playing 3 rookie mids you have more noney to spend in other areas. I have taken this approach and im able to start with 5 keepers in defence and 4 in the forwards. Ive only got 2 genuine midpricers in my whole team (Yarran and Krakouer).

Maybe, but which position scores the most? You'll lose some of that if you go 3-3. I'm personally going 4-2, with 3 super mids to help me out with scoring. Remember League games start Rd 1 this year.
