I've got Sandilands and Cox, so I am confident that those 2 should help me get to the GF. Fraser and Petrie are only backups. Not gone at all old chap.

I find it mildly amusing that people are talking about leaving out Cats, Bombers and Blues because of finals... you get an extra game out of these guys during the year to make finals, and then when finalising your team you have the option to sideways/upgrade trade to make your side competive for the big one/s. In my mind, it makes more difference who has byes earlier in the year (to leave out i mean) so that you can bring these guys into your team after their second bye. It's just a huge shame that the GCS are one of the sides that have their byes early... and some of the sides with plenty of premium potential have their byes late. (Gibbs, Murph, Judd, ?Waite, Chappy, Selwood, Enright, ?S. Johnson, Watson, Ryder, ?D. Fletcher... ect) ...and yes i do realise that many of the serious sc'ers want their team completed by rounds 11-12, and only 1 team (GCS) has had their 2 byes to this point, but i think this year with the byes and extra bench players, we might see a small change in trends.
A planned side ways trade? I have been trying to avoid side ways for years, and now you say plan for it?
I have to think on this more.

I think if you are leaving out Judd, Murph and Selwood (and maybe Gibbs), you are missing 3 (or 4) of the top 8 supercoaches. Insane. It's probably not feasible to have all of these guys for obvious reasons... but none of them???

I agree with Fact hunt,  that you would be crazy to leave out anyone playing for geelong, carlton and Essendon from your starting team just because they have byes in the late rounds.

Coxy is def a better option than Jolly.

Jolly gives away a lot of free kicks, while Coxy looks like getting back to his best after a full pre-season.

What do people think about Q Lynch, after NicNat's injury?

Ok. Judd and Selwood sure but don't know if Murphy and Gibbs are top 8.  It's a tricky dance with the premiums from those teams.  If you have 1 or 2, you should be ok, but anymore and it could quickly turn pear shaped.  I'd be looking at Melbourne, Sydney, Freo and 1 other (I think it's Richmond) as they have both byes during non scoring rounds.  If you are going for league win this may help, if going for overall it won't.

Oh and COX by the length of the street.  Downgrade Petrie for Z Smith or J Tippett.  Petrie will miss the start of the year (suspension/bye) and will also have a bye during finals.
