Goodfellas Team For 2011 (Most Likely)

I am almost 100% happy with my team, but am willing to here all of your views on it. Positive, critical, whatever- can you rate out of ten and give tips on how to improve. Thanks; and if you post a link i'll happily rate your team. I hate a shade under 45k left, looking to use that on players, eg maybe Swallow and Petrie.

Def: Goddard, Gibbs, Broughton, Grimes, Adcock, Otten, Heppell.
(Coad, Stanley, Puopolo)

Mid: Swanny, Boyd, Montagna, Stanton, Swallow, Krakouer.
(Mzungu, Harris, Hibberd)

Ruck: Cox, Jolly.
(Smith, Derickx)

Forward: Chapman, Sylvia, N. Riewoldt, Zaharakis, Knights, Petrie, Prestia.
(Richardson, Matera, Callinan).

Nice team, few observations:

• Not a fan of adcock in your backline, personally think he's too injury prone, but if he stays injury free it'll be worth it
• Stanton burnt me badly last year so I'm totally against picking him up. Can't handle a tag at all.
• Petrie in your fowardline is an interesting move especially with no MPP in the ruck to move him there. Haven't seen many other teams with Petrie lining up in the forwardline, could work out well for you

Aside from those points which are mostly based my personal opinion, nice team! I'd give it about an 8/8.5 out of 10. Thanks for commenting on my team btw, just got a few more questions if you don't mind checking them out. Cheers!

Not a bad team.

Just not sold on your forward line. Zaha, knights and petrie are all fine, but not sure bout having all 3. Knights been injury prone for a while, if he can stay fit will be a gun. Petrie out for rounds 1 and 3, will likely improve his price but if he can get to the scores he was producing a few years back is another question. Many think zaha is ready for a breakout year, has looked ok preseason but can he continue this form into the true season? I think all 3 of these players are fine and having 1 or 2 is ok, but all 3 is too much of a risk IMO.

Agree with all of that, except who would you pick over Stants?

Around the same price I'd go A. Swallow, but if Jukes is willing to spend the extra 45K he's got left over I'd get Bartel or Selwood, but there are plenty of options.

Yeah I was thinking of removing Petrie for a rookie, then upgrading Swallow to somebody like Sidebottom or Anthony.

I'm 100% happy with Stants, I'd prefer him to every other mid except for Swanny/Boyd/Joey

Fairly decent team mate, 8/10

Backs: Good but i think Deledio is a must
Mids: Stanton will do well this year and is a massive dt slut - but when he cops a tag you will be hating his guts
Rucks: Jolly a good option but i do like sandilands better but im sure salary cap had a bit to do with this decision?
Fwds: Good but im not sure about knights after his recent injury - i hope zaha does well!

I reckon zaha is a good pick, he should score well this year. Maybe Petrie in the forwards is the only minor weak point but who knows could turn out perfect.

i like the Stanton pick but i really dont like Jolly in any sides, the sub rule better play out in his favour!

Just a minor thing but I managed to ask Dr Dream Team who he preferred out of Coad and Toy and he said Toy looked better. That + the extra 10k(ish) is why I went with Toy over Coad.
