His bye is the 2nd last game, so unless your absolutely positive you'll make it to the granny, its a huge risk to have him. What does everyone think....

I think i'll be sure to keep 4 trades for the last 2 rounds and get rid of him and Judd.

agreed.  Don't burn too many trades and all is good.  Lock for me.

So you're assuming you're not gonna have other injury/suspension issues?

You simply can't have BOTH

meow meow

Yeah i can. My bench is strong enough to cover them for the odd week that they miss here and there. Obviously i'll get rid of them if its anything serious.

They miss the preliminary final. Doesn't anyone remember the last couple of rounds of the past few seasons? With a whole heap of players being rested? Your more likely to have players missing those last few rounds anyway, you really can't have more than 1 Blue or 1 Bomber keeper

I can do whatever i like thanks pal.

Yeah of course you can :) Didn't mean to come off aggressive!

I'm just not sure I see the logic behind it is all. Plenty of alternatives

sid3bysid3

i dont think its that black and white.

all depends on how many mpp's you have, the maximum number of players from any team and a bit of luck with injuries.

if you can cover byes well and keep trades up your sleave then i think its not too ambitious to have 4 trades in the last 2 rounds.

winner from 2 years back had 6 trades to rock out the last 3 weeks.

I'll be aiming for 4 trades in the last 2 rounds also. But doing that knowing you'll have to trade 2 players out in the 2nd last round, and no matter how good your back-ups and MPPs are, you're team will suffer for it.

Essentially, it means you have no trades for that round. So like you said, you'd have to rely on luck. I don't want to do that.

meow meow is right, it's your choice, just not something I want to worry about when the Saints rest there 5 best players, Swan and Pendles have a breather, and Freo decide they don't want to play a full team.

I'm staying away... Plan ur trades all u like but nothing goes to plan once injuries & suspensions take there toll.

Gibbs will be the 2nd best defender for the whole year, and i wouldn't be leaving him out for the entire season, because someone might get injured at the wrong time.

I had Gibbs in my side at one stage, then I smacked mself in the face, dressed myself down and realised that I didn't want to be urging a down hill skiier on all year. I think if he does his running back flank role he could actually be tagged on occassion this year (like Enright, Shaw, Malceski) & he wont be able to handle that.

He could be an upgrade target but the end of year positioning makes me wary.

Just get Lake instead. He doesn't need a preseason. All he does is run 10 metres and marks opposition kicks. Dont need to be too fit for that.
