Not even gonna bother getting involved in this but it's stupid what ur suggesting...
Do what u like though I don't care if u fail.

Explain to me how it's stupid?

I've got 3 premiums/keepers + Martin, Ward, Krakouer + Mzungu, Harris, Hibberd in reserve.
Once Mzungu has made enough, i'll sell him for a rookie and upgrade Martin to a premium. I'll have enough money left over to upgrade Ward to a premium the next week. What's so bad about that? The advantage of doing this is that Martin and Ward will score a lot more in the weeks that i have them, than players like Conca/Gaff will. I can do an upgrade on Krak by selling Harris. My midfield will be complete having used 5 trades, and i don't even need one reserve to play/increase in value. The advantage of this is that Martin wont miss any games due to byes, and he will score a lot more than rookies will while i have him.

I am completely getting your point here Meow its an interesting strategy and i rare strategy im really looking forward to seeing how you go with it. I dont see why Martin cant become a keeper Joel Selwood did, as have alot of other QUALITY players, this is my entire point. the second year rule doesnt apply for the top class players. As for Barlow being considered the only player that will not suffer from the second year rule well that is yet to be seen, coming off a bad injury and a huge reputation. We cant read the future but if we could the players that make thier move into the keeper/premium status from mid-price are the most valuable to a team minus a rookie that becomes a premium and there is only 1 who has ever done that (we all know who that is). Why are theythe most valuable? because they play every game and score you big points when you only payed mid price for them. Anyone who picks a first year player wihout seeing him play in the big time cannot expect them to become a keeper, but 2nd year players can do this and it happens WAY more regularly than rookies becoming keepers. And afterall if your going for the overall its all about getting the best team you can as quick as you can for max points not waiting arounf for rookies to peak so you can trade up.

See the problem with your idea person cat, is that those players in Martin and Ward won't make you any money. Yes you will make enough money off Mzungu to upgrade them as well, but they will only make you marginal amounts of money.

Say for instance you had 3 Super premiums/2 expensive rookies/1 rookie/3 sub rookies in your mids, then you downgrade 2 of your sub rookies, you might be able to upgrade 3 of the starting rookie players to super premiums who have fallen in value (ie GAJ) and still have plenty of cash left over...

5 trades and Cash left over. I know which option works for me, but as Boomz said do what you like, we don't care if you fail...

That will take far too long, and while they are in my team they will not be scoring as well as Martin and Ward would. I'll have a finished midfield full of premiums, whilst you are still playing rookies. Also, you are deluded if you think Ward won't rise in value this year.
