Backs: Goddard, Gibbs, Deledio, Broughton, Grimes, Otten, Heppell, (Duigan, Coad, Stanely)

Mids: Swan, Boyd, Montagna, Kennedy, Swallow, Harris, (Mzungu, Hibberd, Liberatore)

Rucks: Cox, Jolly, (Smith, Derickx)

Forwards: Franklin, Sylvia, Riewoldt, Pavlich, McGlynn, Krakouer, Prestia, (Matera, Richardson, Callinan)

Bank: $200

Notes:

  • I'm going for the league win ahead of overall standing.
  • Obviously maxed out my bank with only $200 remaining... thoughts?
  • Originally had Petrie instead of Jolly - should I bring Petrie back in so I have cash in the bank and/or money to spend elsewhere?
  • Also had Chapman instead of Montagna in my Mids, however I'm a bit uncertain about Chapman atm given the injury rumours (not matter how minor), the fact that he hasn't played this pre-season and that he is playing under a new coach and we are yet to see how he will be utilised.
  • Looking for better options for my 9th mid as I'm not sold on Liberatore, any suggestions?

Feedback would be greatly appreciated and I'll happily return the favour! Cheers!

Strong backline - good number of premiums and good mix of rookies for upgrading

Midfield - possibly to many young rookies. Although with Swallow and harris to potentially score big and play most weeks they will rise on price alot allowing upgrades for later

Rucks- Strong combo

Forwards - Good mix of premiums and rookies again. Not sure about McGlyn, persoanly i feel there are others that are priced alot better who are ready for break out years.

Overall 8/10
Jolly is a strong ruck option who you knwo will score well - unless you want DPP with petrie i would leave him there.
I took montagna instead of chapman - will wait and see chapmans form and try upgrade to him depending on his scores.
A number of young guys will egt alot fo game tiem this year, polec, gaff etc. With no money to upgrade to a higher player you might have to follwo your gut instinct and stay with him

Cheers for the feedback walshy, i've given some feedback on your team! just wondering who you reckon would be better option than McGlynn?

Thanks lenny99 just rated your team.

I've changed my team around a bit, not sure if its for better or for worse (changes in bold):

Backs: Goddard, Gibbs, Deledio, Broughton, Grimes, Otten, Heppell, (Duigan, B. Smith, Stanely)

Mids: Swan, Boyd, Montagna, Kennedy, Swallow, Harris, (Mzungu, Hibberd, I. Smith)

Rucks: Cox, Petrie, (Campbell, Derickx)

Forwards: Franklin, Sylvia, Riewoldt, Pavlich, McGlynn, Duncan, Prestia, (Matera, Richardson, Callinan)

Bank: $700

Basically I went Jolly to Petrie and Krakouer to Duncan - the other trades aren't really that important as they're all bench players.

So have I gone backwards or not?

Jukes

On the new team,
Back- Maybe a bit strong, remove one premium? Rest good, except b. Smith???
Mid- Tad weak.
Ruck- Weaker then most. And Campbell is out for 6-8 weeks.
For- Strong, get Krak over Duncan imo.
Good team, 809/1000

Thanks Jukes, just a few more questions:

  • smith has been tearing it up for adeliade this pre-season and i like the look of him. nothing is set in stone regarding my bench players anyway, plenty of time between now and round 1.
  • forgot campbell was out for that long (especially embarrassing considering im a melbourne support...). anyone around the same price aside from Derickx that you'd recommend instead?
  • so you like the combination of jolly/krakouer over petrie/duncan?

Jukes

1- I've never noticed him, might be a good pick-up.
2- Zac Smith I'd highly reccomend; will be GC's number 2 ruckmen (behind Fraser, who isn't that good if you know what I mean) for only 105k.
3- I'd prefer Jolly/Krak because Jolly's price will probably rise; he averaged poorly (around 73) in the first half of last season, then about 85 in the second half; priced at an average of 79-odd for somebody who is starting to find his feet at the Pies. And Krak is a gun who will have no trouble finding a way into the top 22 at the pies.

I'm pretty high on McGlynn but who around that price do you think is better?
