With the new sub rule i think the dt ruck role is going to change.
Because teams only have 3 on the bech they wont want to have two speciallist ruckman in the side. We have seen with collingwood they have had jolly and leigh brown who rotate through the ruck. Geelong have tom hawkins and ottens and port adelaide have westhoff, brogan and trengove. This year i belive the tall foward/back who can roatte through ruck is going to become a highly sought after player. From the bragin point of view this is great because there are two prime examples with Jackson Trengove from power who will play ruck with brogan and will play back when not needed in ruck. Thre is also ty vickery who will shore up richmonds foward lines when angus graham has his run in the ruck. I believ that the new sub rule will mean more TOG for these players and will bring them into the game more.

Example of a ruck line

Jackson Trengove, Ty Vickery
Brad Moran (will play the same sort of role), Derickx (will also play similar role)

By having this ruck you are sticking to the bragain ruck theory but you are also picking players that will get game time around the ground when not needed in ruck instead of being benched.
Hope you understand what i am getting at

Taking the ruck line you have suggested, how many points do you think it gains over, say Sandi, Cox, Petrie, Smith?

Add up the points gained by reinvesting the money in other lines, lost by having the proposed ruck line, and let us know.

Maybe point out which 2 rucks are "on field" during byes for each team.

I see what you're driving at, but I'd like to see some solid numbers behind it.

well you could include warnock so your rucks would be

trengove, warnock
vickery, moran

then when one has the bye it becomes
trengove vickery
moran, warnock

or

warnock vickery
moran, trengove

what is everyones thoughts. Teams want these players in their team. They don't want to have to play two ruckman. If they can pick one as a full foward or CHB then it is an advantage

My thoughts is it isn't really an adaptation of Bargain Ruck but rather the same theory with different players.

If the players play regulary and you spend the savings wisely then you are on a winner
