As the league matches start from round 1 does anyone know if your opponent will be able to see your starting line-up on the Thursday night?

If your opponent can see your team it wouldn't be great as they could basiclly copy your entire team as it is only a partial lockout. Carlton and Richmond players would be locked in but you are free to trade in players from other teams.

If anyone could shed some light on this that would be great.

it shows up at lockout... so no they wont be able to copy you unless you post it on here:P

thurs night game, so just a lockout for the carlton richmond game

tferrier18

ah ok cheers, so you can do the captain/vice captain thing again? how did that work again?

Fletch74

You could put a VC from the Richmond vs Carlton game, and if they do well, then you make sure that you put your captain on someone who won't be playing, but will be replaced by an emergency (ie. D Swallow for Rd 1, as long as you have an emergency to cover him)

DrZeius

so for example if this was your midfield murphy, gaff, polec, cross, goddard, mzungu (not my real midfield) and u have d.swallow on the bench u put him on the field as captain put Mzungu as Emg and marc Murphy as vice then u can  change captain after richmond game right ?

DrZeius

and i never knew u could trade in partial lockout i thought only swap EMG,captain

tferrier18

ah yeah that's right, cheers...

Then if you reckon swan'll do better you can change to swan etc...too easy!

MightyLions

No it won'ult. Teams only show up at full lockout. Would be stupid to completely copy the opponents team anyway,

Sort of, I wouldn't put Swallow on the firld until you know that Murphy had a cracker of a game. I'd setup Rd 1 as though it was a normal round, maybe with goddard or roo as captain, then have Murphy, Judd, Gibbs, or Deledio as VC, and if they have a score of say 120+ and you're happy with that, swap the person who you nominated as captain with Swallow, and make them an emergency.

The reason I say this is that you actually lose your emergency, as you know that Swallow is not playing, so if another midfielder doesn't play you're screwed... So you need to be sure.

I did this with Buddy last year in the Split Round when he scored 157 or something. Worked a treat :)

Actually fletch I would say you are wrong on this. Being the first round you don't need to name a captain so just set up your team as normal and name someone from richmond or carlton as VC. If they play well just leave your team and don't do anything (including not naming anyone captain) this will mean that since no captain played your VC will double the score. Also it will leave you with the full use of 3 emergencies just in case ;)
If they play badly just click the captain button next to goddard/swan whoever and it will be fine :)

I don't think I'm wrong, just that your suggestion is also abother option, actually probably a better option though ;)

Haha yeah I guess wrong was the wrong word to use there. Wasn't sure if I was actually making sense there either haha so I'm glad you understand ;)
