BratPack

It's Day 3 and today we hit the Green Pitches to try and roll on.

To the Preview

Hammertown Warriors v Frankston XI
GS could be in for a tougher time today, Hammertown rates pretty well, he rated 163 in his last one day. It'll be a good match, as a lot of these usually
FF Win?: Seam bowling is the one place GS wins though. Might just get him over the line.

The Brat Pack vs Front Foot Fury
Another tight match, another match where ratings are against FF, another match where Seam favors FF, in this case me. The rating diff is negligible in this one.
FF Win?: I'd feel better with another quality seam bowler. As it stands now....Can't say I look to it with confidence.

champs united v bombersXI
BB has quietly amassed a good team. Seam bowling lets him down a little but he's strong in all other areas, champs isn't exactly bringing heat either though and shouldn't be much trouble
FF Win?: While not a lock, BB's a pretty bankable bet here.

UNLEASH THE WORLD v Hello
It takes a lot to come back from being thrashed by Daz to actually winning and I don't think UTW is going to do that. HP has a famed brittle batting lineup but UTW don't have the weapons on this sort of pitch to trouble it..
FF Win?: Can't see HP dropping this one. Lock it in Eddie.

John Howard's Coathangers v 11PUNJABI
ML has had a miserable time of it in the Cup so far but this gives him a shot to get back on track, big outrate, big advantages, should be a big win. Of course I said that last week too...
FF Win?: At the risk of being foolish. ML wins.

The Matchbox Matadors v Pompei Cricket club
CF comes in a little down on confidence and faces a tight battle today, Pompei was pretty good last week against Fletch despite being heavily outrated. It shall be a very good game to follow I think.
FF Win?: Yes....just. CF wins the seam battle, that gets him over the line.

Dbest XI v Tickle My Timber
Well Shaggy's so big he drew the Captain. But he's not going to get this all his own way, The pitch is the best Dbest could hope for as he doesn't actually play a spinner. It has the makings of a good game.
FF Win?: Not that Shaggy should lose. He's won harder games. But the potential's there.

Linkin Park v Golden C
At least Barlow is on the right day this time. Another strong team and another game where he should be favored to win. Linkin Park does rate well though and will provide stiff competition.
FF Win?: Likely.

Fletch's No Balls v RED THUNDER
Fletch goes into battle looking better with each outing and takes on another familiar opponent. I played and beat the THUNDER last week. Fletch is another who's quietly amassed a squad and now rates very well. But like a lot of the GC matches he won't have it his own way.
FF Win?: That said. if MY pace line up can contain him. Fletch's should destroy him.

Hillly's Heroics v Sleepingcow
Not a lot I can say about this one. Hilly holds all the aces and should win. But as we've all seen stranger things have happened.
FF Win?: Yep.

AchmidsSoul v DazBurg's Greatness
Two games in a row where FF's Self Appointed Giant Killers start favorite? Chicken Little may think the sky will start falling soon. It comes down to the anonymous brand of medium pacers of the Greatness and whether the Soul two seam bowlers can do early damage.
FF Win?: Daz should do enough here to put the point on the board.

Which leaves the one FF head to head match up

Gunz n Rozez v Roo Boys!
Two of FF's highest raters going head to head. Electricity will be....uhhh electric. What can I say? I suck at buildups.
Winner: Almost too close to call.....R&B....Just.

Fletch74

Awesome once again BP :)

I'm hoping my tactics are a little better than the past 2 weeks ago. I've sought Shaggy assistance this week, and I've completely changed my approach with my bowling. Playing 2FM, 2M, and 1 FS today, so hopefully they can do the trick.

roo boys!

Awesome BP :D

Yeah it is going to be an...electric game ;)

Justin Bieber

Nice write up BP.

My Brittle batting lineup needs a shake up ::). Dropping Schmitz all together and will be on the look out for a GUN bat coming weeks.

CrowsFan

Great write up BP as usual  ;)

Surprised you have put me favourite, since he actually has better seamers than me so could be in for a tough day.
I'm just glad it's windy to help out my spinners a tiny bit since green is not a good pitch for them!

DazBurg

   End of over 46 (7 runs) - DazBurg's Greatness(234-8) RR 5.09
L. De Blaauw 0 (1b) , T. Bryant 54 (66b) , C. Nelson 8-0-44-3

not to upset with that
had a middle order collapse and was
5 for 140 after 25 overs

so i've put on 94 for 3 in the next 21 overs with the tail

Bryant holding the innings up beautifully

anderson with a nice cameo of 30 off 45
which makes him 3rd highest scorer behind bryant and walsh

Boomz

It's going to be a good match no matter who wins :) Have gone for extra batting and am playing 2 spinning AR's...

DazBurg

End of over 50 (11 runs) - DazBurg's Greatness(264-9) RR 5.28
E. Taufel 6 (4b) , T. Bryant 68 (77b) , C. Nelson 10-0-64-3

very happy with that total after the position i was in ;)

DazBurg

3.1   W   Ilango to Philippe : [runout] A huge mix up there and O'Halloran is well short of his ground.
F. O'Halloran run out (E. Taufel) 4 (11b 0x4 0x6) SR:36.36

good way to start with a runout
so the boys are on their toes in the field :D

End of over 4 (2 runs) - AchmidsSoul(10-1). 255 runs required from 46 overs. RR 2.50 RRR 5.54
J. Philippe 5 (12b) , P. Eriyagolla 1 (1b) , S. Ilango 2-0-3-0

roo boys!

I have batting depth also today, green wicket, I believe depth will be important. Playing 2 medium AR's, and a spinning AR. Well Chiba is sorta an AR.

Then playing a FM and a F.

Boomz

One of my mediums can bat a bit & then my 2 spinners have accomplished & expert batting summaries ;) don't think it's worth it to play a reliable FM over one of them... if it was cloudy weather then I probably would.

HillHero13

i have awesome seam bowlers and a strong batting line up.

want to see my friendly ratings after Nukula inclusion.

DazBurg

   End of over 7 (4 runs) - AchmidsSoul(29-1). 236 runs required from 43 overs. RR 4.14 RRR 5.49
P. Eriyagolla 10 (11b) , J. Philippe 10 (22b) , E. Taufel 4-0-17-0

would really like another wicket soon starting to get that RR up

Yeah one of my mediums has an Expert summary, the other reliable, and Chiba on Capable.
