I got given out like that in a practice game ::) It was a slow half tracker, I cleared the front leg and went for the big heave ho, ;), missed it, bounced of my quad half a metre outside leg and he gave it out, not sure if it was caught behind or lbw, because no-one on the fielding team appealed :P

Anyway, sem-final today :) I feel like bowling...

Well we are batting first, currently 188/3. I was given out on 43 to a rather pretentious caught behind considering I never hit it and it glanced off my thigh pad. Little barbie of a ball nipped back in off the seam something massive.

My opening partner went for 2, clean bowled. 1st drop and I made something off it as he and I went to work demolishing them. Put up a 50 partnership in I reckon 20 balls. lol

Well I just found out I will be captaining my side in the finals (start this week), batting at number 4, and opening the bowling.

No pressure :P

so epic today.

the situation - We win, were in the finals, we lose were out.


the match situation - 130 of 45, which should be quite easy

what happened - we were about 8-80 when i came in

then - me and the captain got us to about 110 then he got out stumped when the keeper didn't have the ball.

so all the responsibility falls on me, need 20 of 4 overs with 1 wicket in hand.

i face every second over and then WHAM i get the winning runs! OMG!!!!!!!

I picked up 2/12 off 8, but there were 3 dropped catches off my bowling ::)

And I actually feel bad after hitting a kid, I normally like it but this guy sounded like he was 10 years old, his voice was so high pitched and he was so innocent! First ball in, I made him cry :-\

off today to try and chase down 143. Should do it...you never know.

I came in at 2/10, and before long were were 5/50 ::)

I was stuck at the non-strikers end for most of that.

Then I put on a 60 run partnership with the number 7, before he fell and the guy after him got a duck.

We were 7/110 chasing 143 with 10 overs to go.

I made my 50* ;D and the next few batsmen scraped the runs together :)

So, my first 50 this season, and I basically won us the game, we're through to the grannie! (second time I've batted in a 2 dayer this season [rain])
