should i take bartel over anthony?

Anthony and cash. Anthony should average 95+ and I wouldn't be surprised if he managed over 100 either. Has a lot of improving to do and the cash is a bonus.

Bartel would also be a great option I just prefer Anthony.

For me that's the old risk/reward question:

1. Take Bartel & there's very low risk, but the reward isn't that great (though he is good value if he can up his ave minus ablett, but for me that's balanced by the tags he/selwood will cop without ablett).

vs.

2. Take Anthony & there's a greater risk/gamble, but the reward is fantastic if he can up his ave to mid-high 90's over 20-22 games! (as you get more cash to upgrade other players in your team & make money out of anthony as well - therefore, making your salary cap go much further than Bartel ever could!)

At the moment I have a few of these choices in my team, & so I'm trying to split my decisions between low risk/low reward choices & high risk/high reward choices.

With this one... Anthony - just. Only because I'm concerned how bartel goes without ablett (& with his slightly tricky elbow from last year - not 100% sure he's completely over it).

as Alex and Talisman write above - agreed.

my only thinking on Anthony is that he's a touch pricey - i don't reckon they gave him much of a discount considering how many games he missed last season but i s'pose they think he's a quality player - i'd agree with that, but i'm just worried how many games he'll play (but he was a bit unlucky with last year's inj) this year.

anyway, cos it's your no4 spot, i reckon you can take the punt on Anthony but i voted for Bartel becos you pretty much know what you're gonna get ...
