Max Bailey + 110,000 Vs Petrie

Which would you choose.

1) Max Bailey and 110,000 to use as upgrade money

Or

2) Petrie on the bench, to cover Cox and Sandy with Zac Smith next to him on the bench

Depends. How strong are your other lines? Petrie will go up in price so you can always down grade him to a rookie later on and make cash that way.

Petrie is missing round 1. Give him a miss. Z.Smith should be more than enough cover. In my opinion he will be the number 1 ruck at GC before the end of the year.

But I'm not sold on Bailey. See how Derickx from the tigers or Keefe from the pies go over the next few weeks. At the moment I can see both of them getting a lot of game time. The tigers rucks are pretty ordinary and he showed some good signs the other night and with Keefe the reports are he could come into the back line for N.Brown. Just keep an eye out.

I can see more upside $$$ with Petrie, most if not all teams will have him so can you afford to miss the boat on him....  ::)

Watch Bailey through the pre season. If he plays 1 or 2 games and is named for rnd 1 then he may be good as a bench option, but i wouldn't dare start with him based on his history. Here's a fun fact, if Big Max can play 7 quarters he will have doubled his amount of total game time played in the past 4 years.

I am personally going with Trengove and Derick with an X. Smith looks good but knocking Fraser out of the #1 ruck spot is a massive call.
