Going to have a go at estimating average scores over the season, within a 5 point range for different players. Will start with the top scorers and work down. Just doing this for a bit of fun and the scores are based just on my opinion. Feel free to tear it to shreds or tell me why I'm wrong. If we all the had the same opinions we'd all have the same team and that would be boring! More to come if people like this idea.

The scores are based around players being fit for the majority of the season and playing 15+ games. Based my averages on previous scoring, age, team position and role in the side. Have not done estimates for rookies, not seen enough of any of them yet.

Great work Dmac! I agree with most if not all of that.
Interesting to see how well you think Watts will go.

dmac07

Bit of a break out year for Watts I think with Melbourne on the improve. Not sure if he will ever be a Riewoldt or Brown, but he will get better.

Alex7089

Fair enough.
Things are looking good for him, 3rd season in an improving team. He has talent just needs to bulk up a bit.

Don't really rate Garlett much, will get a lot of 50-60s I believe. But thats just my opinion. As you can see this original list was done before the pre season, re-evaluated Knights and Macaffer's positions so high on the list. Added Petrie in at 85-90 points, this sound about right? Don't think he will be a premium but will be a great buy still! Will stand by Walker but starting to come around, but then I thought he was going to be great last year too!

Exactly. If the 50-60's are his bad games, then look out. He will have some huge games again, and if he can lift his crap games to 50-60's instead of the scores of 8, 23, 31 and 32 like he produced last year, then there is the improvement. He averaged 70 last year dishing up that rubbish, so if he can cut that out he will be pushing 85-90.
