Hey everyone. Liam Anthony has averaged well over the last two seasons however he has only played half a season in each. What are your thoughts on whether i should get him or not. Thanks for your feedback. Hally :)

My midfield currently is; Swan, Montagna, Bartel, Anthony, Harris, Mzungu - Heppell, Atley, Callinan

Mish

atley isnt looking all that great from the nab cup games... but ye, i have anthony on my team at the moment, i'm pretty certain he will rip it up this year.

hardnut

17 games in 2 years...Price tag too high for the risk, he will need to rip it up to justify the position as a keeper. I've had him in/out a few times but think I've settled on no for my structure. I say find a few more $$'s a get a locked n' loaded durable gun (K.Cornes for instance)

Bluke

No for me.. misses a crucial game of the finals.

Chopps

His potential is good but I was going to burn a trade by rd 21 for him so I don't think so

Im probably going to get him and i plan possibly upgradign him come about round 12 if he is not pumping out big scores, however hopefully he should be worth over 400k so i can upgrade him to someone like ablett or montagna

Very expensive cash cow. I wouldn't go near him. Better options for a little bit more are Jack and Thompson

not just a cash cow, for me my strategy all revolves around having as strong a midfield as possible. I go for overall and this is where all the points accumulate. Im curretnyl starting Swan, Boyd, Bartel, Anthony, Swallow, Harris.I will be getting in montagna and ablett at some stage and if there is another gun that is really firiing ie 110+ and anthony is only 100 than i will make that trade. Anthony will help accumulate the socres early while i cant affford someone like montaga at the moment.

This year i upgraded both anthony and mitchell and half way through the season i had Swan, Ablett, Bartel, Selwood, Montagna, Boyd and i ended up finsihing just outside the top 500 because of this midfield.

Fair enough. I normally like to go three guns and three rookies which worked well last year as i finished in the top 200 last year. Had Swan Ablett Hayes Montagna Boyd and Bartel by round 14. I agree with you that early on Anthony will help you out.

Im considering droping anthony down to bennel but i think with the byes its not a great idea playing only 3 premiums as when the bye occrus and you are starting 4 rookies in the middle that has to hurt your scores. I have gaff on the bench as about half of the rounds i will need him iat the start of the season.
