Swan & Pendles in same team - any concerns there?

Does anyone see any problems with having Swan (locked as my No. 1 mid since FanPlanner started!) & Pendles (a jet whose only way is up in terms of scoring!) in the same starting Supercoach midfield?? It's not like I have a showerload of Pies players either - I just offloaded Jolly for Cox (that's another discussion altogether!) - so my only other Pie would be Krakouer... What are people's thoughts?

i have wanted to get them both so bad
i think pendles will win the brownlow and swans just a freak but im just worried about the byes

Couldn't agree more - how bad are Collingwood's byes?? There was a great post a while ago with every team's byes listed, but I can't find it any more...

Anyway, so what do you do? I figure with MPP (which is good in the setup I've got), & quality rookies (who are playing - plus there's 3 on the bench this year, which helps), there should be enough cover... Right?  ;)

most deffinetly i think if you have the cover then its smooth sailing.

Dont hesitate because of the byes get on how could you possibly go wrong with 2 premiums like them?

round 7 might hurt, but if you get passed that it will be happy days!

i had both last yr from the outset... didnt regret it but byes prove an issue this yr

I've got both in my mids as my premiums (along with hodge). Swan is a proven gun and as you said, only way for pendles is up, has the ability to push his average to 120 this year imo. You have to be careful of the byes but I think people are worrying about them a little too much.

Turns out I didn't need to - There is the old one.

As for Swan and Pendles you would want to be very careful, but really 2 games in 24 rounds isn't much. If 2 games is what determines whether you finish top 4 or not...This is not your issue! So it is fine.

I see no issue as long as you have bench cover in round 7 and 13. Both supercoach freaks, get on!

It's in SC Strategy.

I think it's a concern as you'll have 2 premiums missing in Rd 7, so unless you're planning to upgrade a rookie before then, you will miss 2 premiums that week.

Why not choose one as an upgrade and diversify your selections?

well spoken... all these ideas without one injury though! hehe... but the interchange rule should fix that ::)
