Ive currently got 2 rooks in each position to go with the top 4 guns (imo) and in the forward and back one mid pricer.

Backline: Otten, rookie, rookie (3 rooks on bench)
Mids: rook, rook (3 rooks)
Forward: Knights, rookie, rookie (3 rooks on bench)

I have a lot of confidence in the rookies I have currently selected and have no doubt most will play out the entire season if injury free.

i used that tactic last year... the only problem you'll face is trades. you always want to make sure you have 2 trades per week when finals roll around so that in account you can have 18 trades during the season.

if you upgrade most your 15 rookies then you dont have alot left... hopefully a few of your rookies will be keepers.

You know who is going to get injured or not? What's the verdict on Chapman?

I have 14 keepers and players like Mzungu and going to go up a lot more than players like Martin/Scully who people would say are mid pricers. Howd it work out for you last year? I only need to upgrade 8 players max, probably will be 6 with a couple of players like Harris. Otten and Knights potential keepers.

Chopps

dont count on pontential keepers coz they could be potential flops. i have factored 7 upgrades (14 trades) 5 lti's & 5 for finals

Footy God

So you have 15 keepers Chopps? Also, bit off topic is it 2 or 3 trades a round now?

Mish

dont forget what happened last year...

most of the players that ended up in the top 20 last year started with the mid priced strategy as opposed to a heap of rookies last year.

its dangerous to have too many rookies on field as it killed a lot of coaches last year, a lot of these guns in the nab cup will miss the start of the season unfortunately, its like that every year.

Will change though with GC. Blokes like Matera, Coad, Toy, Swallow, Harris and even Prestia all much higher js then other rookies before. I dont see many good mid pricers other than Knights who I have and maybe Adcock (watching his form closely.)
