Luke Hodge

Hey all.

Just wondering why no sides I look at include Hodgey. He's a proven scorer and I thought more people would be on him to have a big year.

Is it because :-
- He is now only a midfielder and there are better options ?
- Injury clouds ???

If there is something I'm missing on Hodgey, can someone please let me know.

Yeah thats put me off him this year, not sure why his still a gun. I would have selected him no problem if mpp in the backline but this year it just looks strange having him in the mid when you have so many gun players to pick from.

hodgey will still rack 'em up. just because he is listed as a midfielder, does'nt mean he will won't score as per usual. there are heaps of other defenders who are mpp's

guess so. i' ve locked him from the start. he will still get his 100's even with a broken leg' as will k. cornes

Seems as though he has.
My number 1 midfielder is Pendles though so I haven't really loked at him. Going for cheap prems like Pendles, Anthony & Burgoyne over super prems.

I was tossing up between him and Selwood, and decided to go with Hodge. I've even locked him in as captain, just for something different.

Yeah, agree,

Boy is a gun, always been in defense in prior yrs, will still rack them up, hawks will have a HUGE yr!

Yep, I am all over Hodge - considering entering the season with him as my no. 1 midfielder (i.e. something like: Hodge, Montagna, Pendlebury, J. Corey, D. Swallow, Harris, Mzungu - MPP, Hibberd - MPP, Atley as my mids), which would allow me to concentrate my funds to the Backs, Rucks & Fwds, where you can't find the same value for money you can in the mids (esp. with rookies).

any injury cloud that mentions achilles even this time of the year is scary thought for a premium lock
