It has been 2 years since Patrick Dangerfield debuted at AFL level. Until now, he is still one of the highest rated youngsters of the modern era. He is a quality player, but will he be quality in the DT world? This year is gonna be his 3rd year so maybe 3rd year rule?

Actually looking at the 4th year rule for Dangers, he debuted in 2008. I can see him averaging 90 + in sc, DT not so sure.

All depends on whether he gets a full time gig in the midfield, or whether he is based up forward again. He seemed to play a lot more time in the middle Round 1 of the NAB, and if that continues he will be in my team. Have to watch the rest of preseason carefully

just need an excuse not to slot him in at the moment...

i think he'll improve but not the breakout season you'll be wanting

Why do so many people think this guy is such a great player?  He's never really done much and the mystique surrounding him is grossly unwarranted.  At least wait until he averages in the 70's before going ga-ga.

DT Junkie

The guys is going to be an absolute machine.... Wearing the same number as roo isnt the only thing he has in common with the former adel champ..

Hard nosed, classy and quick this guy may not chalk up points in DT and SC but on pure AFL ability this guy is going to be a star!

Remember he is still very very young for the position he is wating to play

Trying to find so many reasons to include him in my side....

Waiting to see how he goes this preseason. Could see him fitting into my forward line nicely.

I think he'll perform better in SC than DT, but will keep an eye on him for the rest of the pre-season. He could slot in my forward line nicely, depending on how he performs.

he has played 42 games in 2 seasons basically (think he played a couple late in 08), hardly injury prone
