Forward line dilemma

Hey guys, a recent problem has had me racking my brains.  Some help would be great.

I recently have gone off Sylvia.  Not as a player, just a SCer, (locked in in DT).  The guy averaged higher in DT than SC last three years, so you can see where I come from.  I had 33k in the bank.  So I can afford 461k.

Now there are in my mind three options.

A) Get Cyril.  The best player I could get.  Only knock is that I already have Buddy and Tom Schneider on the bench.  Meaning that come round 6, I would have to rely on my two other emergencies to play and fill that gap.  My MPP link in the midfield is Mzungu, so that makes that link irrelevant as he has a bye as well.

B) Sam Gilbert.  Good player, another who is probably more DT, but why I am enticed into getting him is because I have McKernan in the backline, so MPP can be used.

C) Another option.

Please give your advice.  I am currently leaning towards taking Cyril and hoping for the best.

Cheers guys.

Id be reluctant to go Rioli considering you have Buddy. Gilbert has had a couple of good years but a move into the fwd line offers up too much uncertainty for my liking. After seeing Higgins today I think he could be the best mid - priced pickup of the year.

I understand your point about Cyril.  Though I have never picked Higgins and I don't intend on doing so.  He's made of butter!

I'm starting to like the look Dangerfield, and would you consider ROK?

HillHero13

just a tip, when there are 3 teams with a bye, SC and DT H2H have byes, no hurt in getting cyril.

Goodes wouldn't be a bad pick up. Or maybe Gia or Steve Johnson for a unique.

I have ROK in my team.  Danger.....  I'm torn, part of me is still dead after last year.

Would get Stevey J but he is in the same boat in rioli with the bye.  I would take Rioli if I was to risk it.  Not too sure on Goodes... getting old.  Gia could be one if he gets consistency.

Thanks for the feedback guys

easily rioli is the best... but round 6... maybe find a different rookie over schneider? a cheap premium should have preference over a bench.

How about downgrading franklin to didak and getting sylvia for rioli?

Didak joined the main group about a week or so ago, but even before that I doubt his overall fitness was impacted by his pec injury - just his ability to do the same drills and partake in praccy matches. But I can understand if you don't want to trade out Franklin.

I think rioli is a must have this year so just make sure you've got bench cover that will play. Matera is a certainty to play, as is cam richardson. Problem solved (unless you have richardson starting)?

i think H1bb and tfer suggestions are good - you don't really have to have Schneider do you??

think you could keep Buddy and still have Cyril then ... and manage with your other bench rooks as tfer suggested ...

Crushemall

Leroy Jetta or Patrick Dangerfield

Maybe look at a Jack Darling from West Coast or a Luke Mitchell from Carlton (He could be their answer for the missing key forward he is a gun)
