Just an interesting one I thought - especially after Matera's display last night - thought he was easily one of the Suns' best players all night. If you consider you can save about $38k on Matera compared to Prestia (+ Matera got some good experience with bigger bodies in the VFL last year - I'm pretty sure anyway), then maybe Matera is the better option. Thoughts?

I have matera. You basically gave us all the reasons he's better, go with Matera.

roo boys!

I have Prestia but Matera last night is making me reconsider.. :-\

Talisman

Cheers guys.

Matera did play VFL last year, right? Anyone know how many games/how well he went?

matera fo sho, not sure how many games he played, a fair bit i think. iirc he was named in the best a fair bit aswell, got a few 4gl bags..  plus the fact that he'll be lining up every week when fit, but no-one knows yet if prestia will..

The majority of teams have had Prestia in them to date...it seems that soon the majority won't ....they'll have Matera instead. Funny what the pre season does.

im staying with both  8) just have to decide which one to have on the field :P looking to be matera atm

Yeah, both would be nice, but I'm concerned about starting the year with too many GC players in my team (currently have 6 - that's with just 1 of Prestia/Matera - probably Matera the more I think about it!)... But it does raise the question of how many out of your initial 33 players can be GC players?? What's the max?

Wouldn't start with any more than 2  in a position(or 1 ruck)

I felt this way too at first, after looking at the way you can use MPPs I'm now thinking that you might get away with 3 in the mids if choosing well... have a look anyway ;)
