Yeah can't believe I didn't include Jetta. Definitely a worthy candidate for most improved. Ryder and Hocking looked a lil bit better in round 1 though.

Jukes

As good as he already is, I think Stanton will take it to the next level and become a super-premium.

Also Zacka will do heaps better.

I certainly hope your right. Stanton is a good player atm, fairly reliable. But I'd really like him to get to the elite midfielder level of Watson.

I love Hocking :D
Doesn't get the credit he deserves a lot of the time. Finished nicely in the B&F last season lets hope he can continue to improve :D

Yeah doesn't get any credit at all. Hes a workhorse though.

Im a bit late to be making predictions but Hardingham hasn't only immproved immensly he has also become an important part of the team in his move down back. Great call by Hirdy and the coaching staff to test out there and it has worked really well.

The other player that not only is improving but has to improve is Leroy. As much as i like him as a player his ball handling and possesions getting has been questionable in the past and he tends to go missing for longer than he is involved. I really hope he makes a successful move into the midfield and takes his game to the next level

Hellopplz

Hardingham is a more natural Backman than he is forward. Last season we needed a forward so he filled in there. Is a great marker of the ball but his kicking was a little iffy. But we drafted him as a backman but like many, they end up being used differently over time (e.g Ryder was initially a backman).

Jetta needs to stand up. He's electric in the forward line but I agree, he tends to go missing some games. Give him a few runs in the midfield to use his pace but he doesn't have the tank to play there the entire game. He could play maybe a quarter or two in the midfield and the rest of the game in the forward pocket. If he works on his endurance, I'd love to have another speedy player running through the midfield for us.

Zaharakis, Hurley and Watson have all had fantastic starts to the season.

Justin Bieber

Think this is a good thread to mention some performances in todays game.

Crameri had a HUGE game. He led the attack and just had that way to pop up and mark the ball anywhere (saw him up forward but even on the wing).
Howlett was great in the midfield. Got quite a few kicks in and clearances. Think he's improved alot since last season and actually like him in the starting line up this season :P.
Hardingham was solid in defence. He came over for the the third man in and came away with the ball most occasions. Remember a one-on-one he had with Dawes and actually won the ball despite have another Pies player comes in. They both went to ground he got up first and got the ball ahead of the other Pies player before clearing. His natural position is in the Back Pocket and he certainly should be kept there!
Hooker was good in the 2nd and 3rd quarters but looked like Cloke wore him like a glove in the other 2. He needs to work on his fitness as he looked buggered in Q4. He looks good but needs work :).
Heppell was our BEST player on the day. No doubt he should get the best first year player and will certainly be in the running for the Rising Star. Showed poise and made only a few mistakes (especially early in Q1 but I say that was just jitters). He was a steal at 7 and will certainly be a great rebounding defender for us in future seasons.

Yeah Hooker needs  to put on a bit of muscle or work on his fitness because he was either out muscled or out ran by Cloke late in the game. Very impressed by Crameri, along with Howlett two very good mature age pickups by Knights.

pyronerd

hocking has done some good shutdown rolls for the bombers as well, a lot of the younger players have improved a lot, Hirdy has brought some spirit and confidence to the team that just wasn't there last year

TheHanger

Reimers? He has played really really well in the VFL and not just kicking goals, his defensive work as well. PLus his 8 (wow) goals hopefull he has a breakout and consistent season as a real leader and good player

bunyip

I actually like him as a player. If he can play well against an in-form West Coast he'll hold his position won't he?
