Don't think there is any threads on this yet.....?

Who will be Essendon's most improved player in 2011?

HillHero13

Zaharakis for sure, his more slick like all of Essendon and he moves alot quicker.

Hawka

Zaharakis i reckon
it wont b williams and he shoudnt even be up there he has peaked and that was 05 and 06 for the hawks wen he got around 50-60 goals both yrs

Boomz

Monfries or Hurley imo. Williams can improve on last year though Hawka & he did that when he was their main fwd... thats not his role for us.

Monfries moving to midfield was the reason I put him up there. What about Prismall, gun player not given enough chances under Knights?

Boomz

He hasn't been the same since he did his knee... He's a good player don't get me wrong but he was right to be dropped a few times others not so much... I think he'll be good for us but nothing special.

dylsta05

hurley for me, it will be another step before becoming a star

pyronerd

zaharakis for me, and how come 3 people have said zahar, yet he has only 1 vote :P

Hurley or Zaha for sure should rise. I'm a big fan of Hooker since he started playing for us (as did Pears).

Voted for other. Think Crameri could do well if he stays up forward and is given the chance.

Did anyone see this the other day about how Pears career is at the crossroads?!
"Career at crossroads: Tayte Pears has a lot to prove this year. He is behind the eight ball with injury and needs a good season to stay on the list." WTF!

Crameri did look really good the other night... the only thing is that he's on the rookie list still & unless we get an LTI we can't upgrade him yet :(

RiOtChEsS

Hurley has the biggest gap to bridge with talent Vs production so even if he improves just a bit it should be him...

Fletch74

I voted for Zaharakis. I think it is out of him and Hurley. They'll both have break out years IMO

Alex7089

I have to go for Zaharakis. He looks good and if he can improve his goalkicking (I remember he kicked 0.5 last year, or I think he did) then he will become dangerous.

Hard to ignore Hurley though, who has immense talent and could become a powerhouse at CHF.

Other big players who will improve a lot will be Pears & Gumbleton I think.

Don't Panic.
Regards, Alex.

Luigi197

I've gone for Monfries.

1. Is a very capable goalkicker
2. Moves into the midfield sometimes and that surely gives him more credit
3. He is an experienced player but has never been fully in the light, its his turn now
4. Has a good bond with Hirdy

That is completely BS (Not BoredSaint) ::).

With Fletch at the age he is, you would think Pears just needs to play to stay on the list. He's an awesome talent and 1 mildly off season/injuries would surely not get dropped from the list!!! If this happens, I will change teams!!! Him and Hooker are the future of our Backline KPP's and many teams would love to have that pair ::).
