am i the only one not picking up gibbs? im trying to eliminate all crlt,nrth,geelong and essendon out of my team except people who will get upgraded. I just think my team is good enough to make finals and wont need to worry about benching a premium player when it counts most, Eg 1st final they have gibbs - and a rookie takes there spot gets 50ish and i have duffield in from the start and will get around the 90ish. that could be the diffrence between a win in finals. all our finals where close last year... just looking at a diffrent type of stratergy

i think most people on here are more concerned about their overall ranking and if you have a solid and consistant team it should take care of itself when you get into the finals. e.g. my goal is to get into the top 1-2k this year.

Generally for i always have extra trades at the end of the season, so now i could waste those on players like Gibbs and do a sideways trade to get another lremium defender whilst still having him all year.

Being able to select him as a defender in DT is just too good to pass up. He is the Hodge of last year. Every team should have him. Especially considering that he should spend most his time back in the midfield and up his avg to over 100 again.

If you do make the finals and you are playing a someone who has guys like Gibbs, Chapman, Bartel etc.. in your team you will probably end up loising. Surely you can handle having at least 1 gellong and blues player so why not start with bartel and gibbs. Its not like you atre the only one who has byes.

exactly. i think its ok to plan ahead (im not planning on picking any premium bombers) but trying to avoid all cats means you are missing on some absolute stars
