not having any trades for the last 4 rounds as well...

and winning after playing the last 2 rounds with a donut...the players below him must have had donuts at this stage as well though

Can't believe he held onto o'keefe and goodwin for so long.

Interesting that he went with ball over cooney as well.

I'm with you Luigi. Had to keep scrolling back to count the trades. Think it was 16 by round 11 - widely considered insane, but goes to show you need balls as big as chruch bells to win this thing.

To be honest, I didn't even feel he was assembling a crack squad as you read week by week. Gotta say I'm glad I wasn't coming up against that team in league finals - the final product really stacks up.

Unbelievable trading.  Reminds me of a guy in my league who traded himself into a Superstar team by round 16 and 4 donuts by round 22.

A premium forward line meant that he was on Brown, Pav and Chappy nice and early.  And he avoided a couple of the other pitfalls that trip others (Kurt, NicNat, Danger, etc)

Just goes to show a little bit of knowledge and a good strategy will get you a good score most of the time, but to win the damn thing you need to throw everything you know to be common sense out the window and go nuts.

Goes to show, the overall vs leagues is BS. Get the overall right and the league will take care of itself.

What the heel are you on about? How does any of what's been discussed prove that overall strategy will result in a league win?

Tom, if that was the case, the highest ranked team would win every league. That is simply not the case.

Did he win his league? His final score of 2326 is great, but by no means guarantees a Grand Final win.
