Struggling to choose between these 2 options.. Not fussed on MPP with Petrie. Handy yes but don't think Joel Tippett is worth it. Don't want someone not playing and hogging a spot on the field. I'd go Hale but not sure how he is going to go yet.. Goodes is good for 90-100 avg but Jolly should go better then last year? His finish to last year was huge..

Goodes and Petrie every day of the week.

Jolly has only averaged over 90 once (92), which was at Sydney in 2009. Collingwood's gamestyle doesn't have as many stoppages as Sydney's which means less tap outs to advantage, less tackles and less quick kicks/handballs for Jolly.

Goodes on the other hand has not averaged below 94. As far as fanfooty's stats go...last year was the first year Goodes has averaged less than 100.

It's pretty obvious Goodes has more upside. Whether Goodes' average went down last year due to old age (doubt it), a role change or he simply just had a bad year, 94 is still a decent average and I don't see Jolly scoring that high. Besides, there are way too many magpies in front of Jolly (Swan, Pendles, Didak, Shaw, Sidebottom & thomas)

am i missing something here or can Goodes be used in the ruck this year?

tferrier18

Nah he can't...I thought Hotiges thought he could be used in the ruck as well...but judging by the way he's labelled the title Petrie fwd if Jolly is chosen, or petrie ruck if goodes is chosen then he must know.

ah righto, that makes sense now.
But damn, imagine if you could use Goodes in the ruck! he does do some ruck work every now and then afterall  ;D

He was available in the ruck a few years ago in DT...so good!
