Hey guys, just wondering what you thought. I'm going for a league win.

Backs:       Goddard, Gibbs, Deledio, Grimes, Adcock, Otten, Puopolo (Toy, Hooper, Duigan)

Mids:         Swan, Boyd, Montagna, Polec, Heppel, Harris (Mzungu, Atley, Wallis)

Rucks:       Sandilands, Cox (Smith, Dirickx)

Forwards:   Chapman, Sylvia, Riewoldt, Rioli, Higgins, M.Morton, Prestia (Krakouer, Richardson, Smith)

$32,000 remaining.

My back line looks a little injury prone but i'm confident that Grimes, Adcock and Otten are in for big years.

I'm aware that round 4 in the mids and round 6 in the forwards etc. will hurt for overall but i really believe that you need to do 2 teams if you are going for both. Everyone seems to be in the same boat at some stage over the year. But i think i will be able to cover it with my rookies and the MPP i have.

Some of the rookies will probably change over the next few weeks but i'm pretty happy with it overall.

Be honest and harsh. Thanks

I like it, there are some interesting picks there which might come off for you and if they do they'll separate you from the rest. One thing I would say is that your midfield is a bit weak. You should try to get another premium in there as the midfield is really the engine room of your team.

I'd go with another premium first up in the mids, or atleast a midpricer.

Thanks but i actually like going with the 3 guns and 3 rookies approach.

Apart from picking up a bit of cash from downgrading a couple of forwards to Petrie and Knights i'm not sure where i can get the cash from.

It might give me enough cash to pick up Sidebottom, Vince or Anthony but i'm not keen on Anthony or Vince and I don't want to have two Pies in mids.

Thanks for your thoughts.

I can see why you're doing it, but it's gonna be a lot of work, time and trades inorder to upgrade it to a gun midfield. (if that's your plan)

BGK

I have 5 rookies that need upgrading to guns so my plan is to use 10 trades in doing this. I'm looking at using up to 6 trades to upgrade mid pricers who haven't quite worked out properly like Otten, Adcock, Hiigins and Morton. Touch wood that player like Adcock, Higgins or Morton would perform well and slot into my team as a 7th back or forward. Leaving myself 8 trades for LTI's and finals. However this is only a plan, but its how i'm basing my preparation. I think its a workable strategy. I went with something similar last year and went pretty well.

if this is the team that is going for overall, by the time u start upgrading ur rookies in ur mid (approx round 8ish), ur already behind the pack compared to those who went 4 premiums and 2 rookies. Those rookies will get u 60's? the odd 80+, where as a premium will get u pretty much 90+. See my point? ur bhind the pack by at least 240 pts

BGK

It says in the heading for this that i'm going for league.

you have seem to have it all planned out, and since you are going for leage, then you have all the time you need to get your premium team in place to make an assault on the finals.

I think this is a great team to go for a league win. Might want to change morton but that's all
Depending how long you wait with trades, Mpp strategy, luck with injuries etc you could also do well overall.
IMO it doesn't matter where the rookies are. You just need the best ones. I agree that most points are in the mids but a gun rookie mid might get 70 av and a rookie back or forward only 50.
You can only squeeze in 14 to 15 prems for starters so the rest needs to be rookies or mid price players.
I most cases I would pick a gun rookie (look at job security) and get an extra prem.
