Can you have Harris and Swallow in the same team?

Do you think you can get away with having them both in your team? After watching the weekends NAB cup matches and although the format was pretty ordinary i wasn't thrilled with what i saw from Conca and Gaff. I will obviously wait until the rest of the NAB cup is over but at this stage i'm worried about taking them into the season. I'm aware that there are plenty of other options like Polec, Atley, Wallis etc. Let me know what you think. Thanks

I agree.  I don't think Gaff or Conca represent value at all.  Gaff $173k, Conca $163k are too expensive for me for 18yo players.  If I were choosing an 18yo first year player, I much prefer Atley $108k, and Wallis $103k, provided they are named for their teams, but from what I have heard, both have had really good pre seasons and both are expected to play a fair bit this year.

I haven't seen Polec play as yet, but again he is $168k or thereabouts so he would have to be pretty special for me to put him in my team.  Harris on the other hand is $125k and should do well, and Swallow appears to be the best of the 18yo's, so I would rather pay the extra for swallow and know that he will play each week and probably do well.

In short, I think you can certainly have Harris and Swallow in the same team, provided you can cover them for R1 and R9.  Both should play all season barring injury.

Of course you can. They can both start or you can have one starting and one on your bench...either way will be fine since they're both rookie priced and not keepers.

I have both and agree that Conca and Gaff are risks at their prices.  In particular I think Conca has some way to go before being a regular senior player.  Gaff will get games early I would say so I'd have him in my side rather than Conca and certainly not both.....

i disagree conca and gaff are certainly fine to both have

both clubs have spoke highly of them and it's not like their at clubs where it hard to break into the midfield

richmond for example have a history of playing their top draft picks as soon as possible barring injury and such

and gaff with how his gone in thier pre season hitouts they reckon he can already hold his own if not better against their own midfielders

i have harris and swallow and i also got gaff and conca

but thats just me and thats what make fantasy footy such a great game each person has their own opinion's and goes their own way and see how it all pans out

P.S Got a spare minute, Go over to the FF Personality Of The Year thread and cast your votes!!! Pretty sure you have 4 votes so why not? Don't like the canidates, nominate yourself! All are welcomed. Might add you don't have to vote for me as there are many worthy canidates for votes. Vote for Bomberboy please :).

i reckon both wouldn't hurt, but you can't have any more suns in the midfield and maybe only 1or 2 more for the rest of your team.
