Do you ask for advice at ff?

I often wonder what advice is asked for, what is given, and if it makes a difference.

That's more than one poll - and to get any sense, you need to be able to do crosstabs (which is too hard here I reckon).

Just to start:

cptFantasy

Thought that was a trick question for a second! Like does a full forward (ff) need to ask for advice! That's the big sticks kick through those...

For me when I first signed up I asked for advice as that was the reason I found the place.
However now I feel competent enough with my own knowledge of football to be able to do well without needing to ask for advice.
Instead I prefer to give some advice when others ask for it

Lol Prospector .. I definately won't be asking you for spelling advice (palyers) .. jks  ;)

NADO95

I don't need to ask for advice because I already know everything.

Good to know Nado95, do you know who won on October 2nd, 2010? My memory fades.

But I've always thought FF was about advice, and I still take advice all the time, most of the time indirectly though (reading other people's posts).

When first joined, would ask all the time!

All you people saying to jump on the Petrenko band-wagon in 2009, I still hold a grudge lol

Touche sir. I like how you referenced the date of the 2010 AFL grand final in which Collingwood, your team, defeated St Kilda, my team. That was very clever of you. Unfortunately for you however, my knowledge of this occurrence only reestablished my infinite knowledge. Also, are you familiar with the events that occurred on the 24th of September 1966? If you are not, which I don't doubt, I'll give you a little help. Not only is the aforementioned date the birth date of Christophe Bouchut, Carrie Akre, Oliver Wittke and of course Rhys Hughes, it is also the date the St Kilda Saints triumphed over the Collingwood Magpies to win their first VFL premiership.

^ fair call, Nada, fair call! 1-1-1 is our Grand Final ledger now :)

Woops, sorry pros, I've caused the thread to vear off topic! My bad.

6 people so far have voted that no, they don't ask for advice. Only 1 person won the comp last year, so at least 5 of you have some improvement to go ;)

I answered yes .. But simply asking for advice and actually implementing the advice given are two totally seperate things :)

Zarts

I went with yes, I'm still a relatively new player, and even though I'm happy to give advice, I still need some pointers here and there.

Chopps

yep getting peoples opinions (advice) only helps you reaffirm or doubt your own

I ask advice on players and read quite a few threads with players I am looking at. I give my opinion quite alot :-[.

I don't much care for the Team sections as many people always suggest the exact same players. And anybody who knows me on here knows I like going different 8). And I've recruited others to my side this season!!!

chrisuzz

Well i tend to ask for advice every now and then, but i want to do as much as i can for the FF community by giving advice etc.
