Firstly iv just had my 2nd knee reco and im assigned to the couch or bed so iv been making a number of DT teams with different strategies/players and before round 1 lockout ill pick which one i believe will get me further. Anyway always looking at ways to get a higher score wether it be with players, tactics etc etc.
So here is my predicament.
My rucks currently stand at A.Sandilands and D.Cox = 758,300
Or i can go with 2 definite starters but not such higher scorers such as
D. Jolly and B. Hudson =626,700
or even go lesser and get J. Frasier and R.Cambell =320,900

Sandi and cox would average what, 180 combined points a week on average?

Jolly and Hudson would average maybe what, 130?
Frasier and Cambell maybe 130 also if they both play youd hope theyd average the same. This is a saving of 400,000+ in the end which can get you a premium player that will score 100+. 400,000 for a different of what 50/60 points between ruckmen?
'
So im not sure what i should do, Go with the best of the best? Or go with 2 cheaies and upgrade someone else in my field. I believe my team is a fairly stronog team that can do well and make some $$$ but always lookuing to improve... Your thoughts?

only problem is...

going on that logic, mid cheaps will make you more money... in the long run better for your team.

I'd go with one gun ruck from the start. Sandi or Cox could be an extra MID, with a view at 2 extra mids if you pick right

I think your strategy is good for the short term, but not the long

YEahhh, but, if you start with Sandi and Cox - you'll feel good about your ruck segment each week and they are pretty reliable.

I have usually gonef or one gun and one rising ruckmen like suggested to spread my money across the board, with intentions to upgrade my middle-range ruck at the end of the season.. however, due to injuries etc.. I usually never do (or there are more pressing upgrades needed elsewhere)..

Sandi and Cox combo is a lock in and forget duo which could see you sleep easier on a thursday evening.  You wil not upgrade either of them this year, unless one gets injured (touchwood) and you need to fill the void.

thats my two cents.

ps, in previous years, the cox and sandi combo woulda cost you around 800k..  cox's price this year is a discount!

Cox and Sandi, have J Tippet on the bench and Petrie in the forwards. Then you can forget about your rucks for the rest of the year  :)

but then your left with shower truck petrie in your fwds  :P

Petrie has great scoring potential imo.

8-6 Suited

And that is why God made the bench for if you don't like him. It's probably also why you have never got anywhere in either variety of the fantasy game with that logic and thinking Custard. ;)
