Tom Scully signed to GWS??

Eddie has dropped on the radio that Tom Scully has signed with GWS to play with them next year. May not get much time with Melbourne this year.

IF & I mean IF that is a real kick in the backside to Demons. Reckon that IF true Scully would keep his mouth shut as per the Suns signings earlier last year even tho the rumors were rife & that they did eventuate!

If true, that is a massive blow to Melbourne and the system in general. It can't be true...surely not true.

They should get the same compensation as the Ablett deal, because his potential is huge.

They didn't really have a choice. All new draftees are offered a 2 year contract, up to Scully if he wanted more.

I guess they didn't think they would poach players so young & new on the scene... It's going to be very messy if he goes & they get flower all compensation for a player that will be an absolute gun & he was a priority pick wasn't he?

Indeed.

Taking Ablett away, or any of the Collingwood guns, is almost fair game, as Geelong and the Pies have had success. But to take away Scully from the Demons... the AFL should do something.

Same with Dustin Martin, who I heard rumours about at one stage. Has he signed yet?
