Playing 4 money so please help, be critical

Any help appreciated, I recon im doing ok so far but any worthwile help is appreciated.

I don't really know what I'm talking about but I got some advice for my team, so I might be able to help

You have "C. Cornes" twice, so im guessing the middle one is Kane. I was told he isn't the best choice, so maybe look into that.

Also, Nicoski is supposed to be a dud

Glad to see you have Roughead, i thought i was the only one :) He performed pretty well for me last year

Seems pretty good; sorry I didn't really say much haha

it was K cornes, i made a typo.

He is still solid but i do aree its hard this year with port as carr is back and they have a very strong midfield so im going to get rid of him as he may just become a tagger only as may not be needed to win the ball.

What do people think of d.kerr or b.johnson(coll) or bruce.

If you're playing for money, you should be confident that you know what you're doing.

Why you asking for help then?

If you want confirmation that you're team is good, then you probably wont get it. your backline is VERY injury prone. good luck keeping them all on the park week in and out as Hill and Slattery won't cover them every week. Tyson would be lucky to even get a game this year.

im not looking for praise, i want to put the best team on the park and when you look at it again and again you start to see the same things so im looking for some fresh eyes and ideas.

For your backs I would take out Drummond (too injury prone), and would reconsider Raines and Nicoski as they will only score 90+ is they get 30+ possessions due to their lack of efficiency.

For your backs consider Mundy (Freo) who will get midfield minutes this year, Adcock (Brisb) and Myers (Ess). Hill is also good enough to start as your 7th back.

Move Lockyer to your backline as he is dual position eligible and there are heaps more midfielders to chose then there are backs. Similarly, move Skipworth to the forward line and Hansen who is useless.

Yarran (Carl) is cheap and will play every game. Good enough to be your 7th forward. Take out Thomas and put in Lucas (Ess) who is returning from injury and is capable of averaging 90+.

You spent too much on your rucks. Cox is gold but get rid of Hill and downgrade to McIntosh, Ottens or Leunberger and with the money you spent upgrade K Cornes to Bartell (Geel). Also medium price mids that will do well this year are Morton (Melb), Tuck (Haw). Rich (Brisb) is only 144k and will play every game.....again good enough to be your 7th mid.

See how that looks.

As is your team will not travel too well. Too many players that will not improve from past years. Post your new team up and we will have another look.

here is my modified team. I like raines so i will keep him but i understand the advice with effectiveness, so im still considering others instead as i have 60k left over..

Looking much better mate.

With the 60K maybe upgrade Richo to Deledio. He should be in for a monster of a year.

You have gone for a bit of a conservative approach......which is safe but will not score you massive points.

Hill and Rich are good enough to start. I would boot Raines (or Myers if you are really really really keen to keep Raines and start Hill. Then boot Morton, Sewell or Haselby for Rich to start.

With the money you save (~500K) I would upgrade both Myers/Raines and Riewoldt to A class players. Then you will be cooking javascript:void(0);.

You don't have Ziebell (Nth). He will play a lot of games this year mate. Great, safe bench player for either Mid or forwards.
